Title:: Introduction To Verification and Validation (V &V) Process
&V) Process
OBJECTIVE:
Understanding the concepts of Verification and Validation process in
software development life cycle (SDLC)
Difference between verification and validation
Importance of V&V
INTRODUCTION:
This report presents the introduction of verification and validation process.
verification and validation (V&V) is the process of checking that
a software system meets specifications and that it fulfills its intended purpose.
Verification: It is the process of checking that a software achieves its goal
without any bugs. It verifies whether the developed product fulfills the
requirements that we have . Whereas, Validation is the process of checking
whether the software product is up to the mark or in other words product has
high level requirements. it is validation of actual and expected product.
Verification is static testing and validation is a dynamic testing.
EXPLANATION:
Difference Between Verification and Validation:
IMPORTANCE OF V&V:
Verification gives the answer to the question whether the software is
being developed in a correct way ,Like; “Are we building the product right.”
and validation provides the answer whether the right software is being
produced, such as “Are we building the right product”. Software Production is
incomplete without V&V process.
