A regression analysis was conducted on transit ridership data from 1981 to 2007. The analysis showed a strong correlation between weekly riders and price per ride (R2 = 0.922), but no correlation between riders and parking rate. Ridership decreased as price per ride increased from 15 cents to 100 cents over the period. Population and income were also factors but were not included in the regression model.
