OSP Engineer – Metroworks (NCR)

Creates the Design of Communication Network with Engineering


Expertise to consider both present and future expansion within the
limits of technical standards and speci cations. Responsible in
preparation of necessary documents, survey and project study to
provide a cost-e ective and reliable detailed plan.

Education:  Minimum
Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electronics
Educational
&  Communications Engineering, Civil
Quali cations for this
Engineering or Equivalent.

Relevant Experience: 1 to 3-year experience in OSP Planning,


Engineering and Implementation

 -Knowledge in Telecommunication
Business Standards.
Understanding -Awareness in DPWH rules &  
regulations/ Tra c and LGU Ordinance.
-Engineering Aspects.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

PROJECT STUDY AND PLANNING

 Responsible in creating a High Level Design to establish


terrestrial National Backbone Route, Central O ces Uplinks and
Distribution Access or Point-Of-Interconnection with
consideration to build a cost-e ective infrastructure facility as
well as preparing Purchase Requests and Bill of Materials,
documentation of plans, maps and Fiber Optic Splicing details
needed for maintenance references. Responsible in providing
detailed plan base on the survey and site situation.
In order to provide a cost-e ective plan

ENGINEERING AND STANDARDS

 Creates standard speci cations of materials and Construction


Methodology to be used in implementing data transport
facilities. Set up criteria and alternative method as a solution
whenever changes or enhancement are needed for the
network.
In order to meet speci ed Technical Standards of Data
Communication Network

Attends Coordination and Technical Meeting with Contractors,


Government/Non- Government Organizations and Internal
Meeting as well to address project issues and concerns such as
escalation, solution, process and other related topics.
Coordinates with other concern team regarding project to be
implemented.
In order to have a smooth transition between planning to
implementation

REVIEW AND CHECKING

Checks plan proposal to be endorsed to Project Management


O ce and to other Sections concerned in the project. Reviews
the documents submitted by the Contractors/Sub-contractors.
Monitor the project status to be used for future reference.
Checks and review the location for Central O ce prior to
acquisition.
