PROJECT: ABRA DE ILOG GRAND TERMINAL II

Objectives:
Abra de Ilog Grand Terminal II is a proposed project to the local government unit of Abra de Ilog,
Occidental Mindoro, to improve the transportation system in the province. It is located at Abra de Ilog port
to serve people entering the province. It is a multipurpose transport terminal and commercial center in the
province of Mindoro. This terminal serves as a pickup station for tricycles, van, and buses.

The following are the general objectives of Abra de Ilog Grand Terminal II:

- To promote the province of Mindoro to tourist

- To improve the transportation system in the Province

- To monitor the entry of public utility vehicle in the Province

Finite Duration and Time Frame:

The Abra de Ilog Grand Terminal's construction will take 24 months to finish. From site development and

excavation to finishing up. The construction is divided into 8 phases, and each phase should be
accomplished within 3 months to meet the set time duration of the project.

Specific Physical Boundary:

The proposed project specified the development of a 3-hectare lot which is own by the municipal of Abra
de Ilog. One hectare of it would serve as a commercial space for businesses willing to rent spaces to sell
their products and services to tourists and residents. One hectare of it will serve as a parking lot for
tricycle, van, and busses that travels within the province. And the remaining spaces will serve as a way and
a U-turn slot for the vehicles.

Beneficiaries:
It will primarily benefit the residents of Mindoro, especially those who are residing at the municipality of
Abra de Ilog. This project will generate jobs and opportunities for nearby residents. It can also benefit the
whole province's tourism sector because the province will be easier to access through a public vehicle. It
also allows the locals to establish business and offers the best foods and items the province can offer, like
the product that was made by the Mangyan tribe.

Specified and Quantified Costs and Benefits:

The municipal of Abra de Ilog, with the help of the provincial capitol, will be allotted a minimum of 53
million pesos for site development and construction of the grand terminal. It will be expected to give at
least 15 million annual benefit to the municipality of Abra de Ilog due to the increase in the number of
tourists and establishment near the port and grand terminal. There are many restaurants and hotels that
are willing to rent a portion of the terminal to establish businesses. Through this development, this area
may become the business center of the municipality of Abra de Ilog.

Organization and Management Structure

The project will be handled by Engr. Kristlouie John M. de Leon as the Project Manager who is in charge of
the overall project. Together with Engr. Padolina as the finance manager who is responsible for monitoring
the project cost, Engr. Bejer as the project engineer that is in-charge in the construction process, and Engr.
Gemperle as the purchasing manager responsible for keeping the right quantity of material and equipment
to be purchased.

Coordinated Undertaking of Inter-Related Activities

This project involves different activities in construction, including the concept and design making; the
design and concept will be presented and discuss to the local government unit of Abra de Ilog for
clarification of the specifications they want; this will be made possible with the help of municipal planning
and development office together with the engineering department. Clearing and excavation of the project
location will proceed after all the required documents are settled. The project involves an analysis of soil
type in the location because it is located near the seashore, so I expect a deeper foundation is needed.
When all the things are ready, the construction will begin; from excavation to pouring the foundation,
framing, electrical and plumbing works, roof installation, and finishing up. When the grand terminal's
construction is accomplished, it is transferred to the local government unit of Abra de Ilog to conduct an
opening ceremony.
