INTRODUCTION TO TEACHER’S RESOURCES

The Next Move Teacher’s Multi‐Rom Resources are designed to make your day‐to‐day
teaching easier and even more effective. They will help you tailor the course to the
needs of each class and of each student within the class.  In this pack you will find:

Tests

Next Move Teacher’s Resources will provide teachers with a variety of tests to use
during the school year. These should be linked to the contents and sequence of each
unit of the Students’ Book. They will help the teacher evaluate the progress of each
student and should aid the consolidation of work already covered.

The tests are at two levels of difficulty and in two different versions for each level.  They
are supplied in PDF format and as editable Word files so that teachers can modify them
to suit their particular classroom situation.

The Tests consist of:

• 1 Diagnostic Test
• 9 Language Tests (each at two levels of difficulty: * and **)
• 3 Skills Tests (each at two levels of difficulty: * and **)
• 1 End of Year Test (at two levels of difficulty: * and **)

An answer key is also provided.

There is an A and B version of each test. The A and B versions differ from each other, not
just in terms of the order in which items are presented, but also in terms of the content
and test types. However they are at the same level of difficulty (whether * or **).

Photocopiable activities

The photocopiable activities provide a variety of material to use during the school year,
for use in class or for additional practice at home, and include:

• Grammar
• Vocabulary
• Reading and Listening skills
• Writing
• Speaking

An answer key is also provided.

There are 45 worksheets per level, the majority of which are provided at two levels of
difficulty:

* ‐ Level 1 material follows the course level. These worksheets can be taken as standard
and will include the target language and the vocabulary from the Students’ Book. The
activities will be familiar to the students with clear, simple instructions and examples
where necessary.

** ‐ Level 2 material is at a slightly higher level than that of the Students’ Book itself.
Although it is based on the Students’ Book contents, there will be subtle differences
when compared to the other levels: the use of longer and more complex sentences; the
inclusion of examples only when they are considered indispensable; the vocabulary may
go beyond the basics and the question types will be more demanding.

Photocopiable, Tests and Workbook audio

All the audio necessary for the listening material in the photocopiable activities, tests
and Workbook are provided.
