Lesson Plan Template: Identify Patterns and Use Procedures in Division To

This lesson plan template provides details for a math lesson on division by 10, 100, and 1000 for 4th grade students. The lesson objectives are for students to identify patterns and use procedures in division. The lesson activities include the teacher modeling on a whiteboard, students answering practice problems in a PowerPoint, and an Uno cards game for practice. Students will be assessed at the end of the lesson through a summative quiz to check their understanding of dividing whole numbers by multiples of 10, 100, and 1000.

MST: Eugene Class: Grade 4-2
Unit: Division No. Ss 21

Prior Knowledge (What knowledge are you building on?)

Before we learned how to multiple 10, 100, 1000

Lesson Objectives: These must be SMART objectives – specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time bound

By the end of the lesson, students will be (better) able to: Identify patterns and use procedures in division to

divide a whole number by 10, 100, 1000 and their multiples.

Lesson Activities: (What will students do in the lesson?)

Student will listen to the teacher modelling in whiteboard.

Evaluation / Assessment: (How will you know your students have achieved the goal?)
(How will you evaluate the objectives that were identified? Have students practiced what you are asking them to do for
evaluation?)
I will use summative assessment at the end of the lesson.

Teacher will check students comprehension with giving them a quiz.
This is the assessment for the emergent and developed students
It includes the pattern of multiple division of 10,100,1000
