Activity Guide and Evaluation Rubric – Task 6 Case Studies

With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:
Analyze the applicability of different verb tenses and grammar issues according to the
rules and structures of the language in the real context of English language use.
The activity consists of:
Pre-Task: Watch a video.
- Step 1: Watch the video “Case Study, Positive education” By ALL Australian
Learning Lecture.

- Step 2: Once you have watched the video, please answer these questions:
If you had to face these situations, what would you do?
If you could have the chance to re-choose a solution, what kind would
you choose?
If you were one of those students, would you face the situation in the
same way?
If you could help somebody in the situations described in the case study
what solution would you choose and why?
What if one of your students have to suffer a similar situation, what
would you do?
If you were allowed to do something related to your learning process
again, what kind of thing would you do differently?
Task-Cycle: Create a case study and solve one.

- Step 3: You have to create a case study that must solve about common
problems that arise in a school environment, in the practical environment you
will find a guide about how to create a case study and its structure.
- Step 4: Once you have created your case study you need to ask some
questions oriented to give a solution to the problematic you addressed through
your case study, these questions must include Conditionals Form (0, 1, 2 and
3). This information has to be posted on the forum and you have to choose
which of your classmates will be solve your case study and you also have to do
that too.
- Step 5: All the students have to poste the answers to the questions related to
the case studies and the possible solution always using conditionals.

Step 6: Work together with your classmates to prepare a Word document that
includes the individual participation and comments posted in the collaborative forum
for this task. (Please organize this information in one page per student).
For the development of the activity consider that:
In the Initial Information Environment, you must:
- Check the Course Agenda to organize your time.
- Check all available forums, introduce yourself in the General Forum.
- Verify the dates of the Web Conferences so that you can plan your participation
accordingly.
- Verify your tutors’ synchronous attention by Skype.
In the Learning Environment, you must:
- Download the Syllabus of the course to read.
- Go to the discussion forum for the task and get familiar with your collaborative
group.
- Participate in the forum to get feedback from e-mates and tutor.
In the Evaluation Environment, you must:
- Upload a PDF file with the task’s individual evidences. Identify your file as

Read your partners’ participation and comment on their contributions. You should
consider possible corrections regarding structure, vocabulary, and content.
Have an active participation in the collaborative discussion and help the group to
choose develop the collaborative activity.
Keep in mind your suggestions or corrections must be well based and show respect for
your partners’ ideas and intellectual work.
2. General Guidelines for the Development of Evidences to Submit
a. For Collaborative evidences, consider the following: Cover page (names and last
names of participants, course info, tutor name, date).
b. Individual activity one page per participant.
c. Comments and feedback given to partners’ contributions regarding to your Case
studies. (Please do not use screenshots)
d. Case studies, questions, answers and solutions.
e. References (APA style).
The final document must be sent to the evaluation environment to the following link:
The evaluator and reviser have to check the final product to make sure it is complete
and then inform the delivery student who will upload the final product to the link in
the evaluation environment. It should include all the information as requested. Name

All members of the group must participate with their contributions in the
development of the activity.
In each group a single member will be chosen to submit the requested product in
the environment indicated by the teacher.
Before submitting the requested product, students should check that it meets all
the requirements mentioned in this activity guide.
Only the members of the group that participated with contributions during the
time assigned for the activity should be included as authors of the submitted
product.
Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA style.
In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found in the virtual
campus.
