Job overview:
Under the Project officer (PO) based in Myawaddy, Project Manager (PM) based in Mae Sot, Director (D)
and General Director (GD) based in Bangkok, the Community worker Supervisor (CWS) coordinates and
assist Project officer in activities related to the program promotion, planning, implementation,
expansion and monitoring in the area of Myawaddy township. He/She works closely with the team
Medical Officer (MO) and PO based in Mae Sot. The CWS leads the M-FUND CW team in Myawaddy.
Coordinates and assist PO on the ground with the overall implementation of the project.
Develops and strengthens collaboration with all stakeholders and project partners in Myawaddy
(Myawaddy hospital, other government officials/offices, private clinics, NGO partners).
Participates actively to the monitoring and assessment of the program, as well as the strategic
planning.
Be responsible and take part in financial activities regarding collecting premiums from CWs and
office operational activities with supervision of PO.
Manages and organizes the team of CW and Community Relays (CR) according to the needs, in
collaboration with the PO.
Coordinates and assists in the recruitment of new CW and team members as the program
expands.
Provides continuous coaching & technical support to the CW/CR team for a successful
implementation of the activities.
Actively promotes and increases participation in the M-FUND through local events and Q&A
(with the PM, PO, MO and the CW).
Monitors and assesses the medical events that are covered by the M-FUND, or claimed to the
M-FUND, in Myawaddy.
Assesses and discuss with PO for medical events that involve request for referral to other
partner facilities in different areas. (+/- other locations).
Occasionally visits patients who are admitted in partner facilities.
Participates in entering data into the M-FUND platform and data sheets and oversees the quality
of the data collection and entry into the application.
Acts as a lead liaison with the local health facilities, in coordination with the PO and PM.
Participates if needed, to identify and build relationship with potential local stakeholders.
Participates in the process of accounting of the project, as well as financial management with
the PO and PM.
Works closely with the PO for administrative tasks such as preparation of stakeholder meetings,
trainings, operation and logistics management.
Assists and contributes to Monthly Plans and Monthly Reports for M-FUND activities in
Myawaddy
Provides inputs and assistance for preparing operational and any other reports for Myawaddy
Other assignments as requested by the PO, PM, D and GD.
Qualifications required:
Education:
Nursing Degree or Nursing Diploma, Public Health degree or Any degree with Public Health experience
Work Experience:
At least a year experience
Experience in community services for migrant communities or refugees along the Thai-Myanmar
border for international organizations, government agencies, or NGOs/CBOs are preferable
Experience working and successfully engaging with different stakeholders under pressure.
Experience handling budget according to rules and regulations of INGOs.
Experience in running community health information or education campaigns a plus.
Experience in participating in project monitoring and evaluation and project implementation.
Experience in sales and marketing a plus.
Working Environment:
The position will be based in Myawaddy city and requires daily work and presence in MWD office,
sometimes in the local communities for interacting with stakeholders from different project areas in
Myanmar. Frequent travel to local communities in the nearby township is expected. Regular travel to
Mae Sot is also anticipated. Possibility of occasional travel to other field locations in Thailand including
Sakaeo and Kanchanaburi province.
