DETAILS OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS, QUALIFICATIONS AND

EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification and Experience as per A.I.C.T.E.,RGPV & Institute norms.

For Civil , Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science & Engg., and Electronic &
Communication Engineering

(i) Assistant Professor : (15600-39000+ AGP 6000)


BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in BE/B.Tech
and ME/M.Tech with GATE Qualified or Ph.D.

(ii) Associate Professor : (37400-67000+ AGP 9000)


Qualification as above that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and Ph.D. in
appropriate discipline with minimum of 05 years experience in teaching/ research/industry
of which 02 years post Ph.D. experience is desirable with necessary minimum API scores
requirements as per AICTE format, Post Ph.D. publications in journals of repute and
guiding Ph.D. students is desirable.

(iii) Professor : (37400-67000+ AGP 10000)


Qualification as above that is for the post of Associate Professor, applicable with minimum
of 10 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at
the level of Associate Professor with necessary minimum API scores requirements as per
AICTE format, Post Ph.D. publications in journals of repute and guiding Ph.D. student is
desirable.
OR

Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and / or Industry in case of


research experience, good academic record and book/research paper publications/ IPR/
patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the selection
committee.

If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent
to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning
executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/ research paper
publications/ IPR/Patents, etc as deemed fit by the expert members of the selection
committee.
 If a class division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered
equivalent to first class/division. If a Grade Point System is adopted the CGPA will be
converted into equivalent marks as below.

6.25 55%

6.75 60%

7.25 65%

7.75 70%

8.25 75%

Instructions to the candidates:

1 Document enclosed with the application form may securely be tagged to avoid loss in handling
and photograph must be properly affixed.

2 Candidates in employment must send their applications completed in all respect through
proper channel by Speed post/Registered post/authorized courier. Institute will not be
responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit of application. Application received after due
date will be rejected.
3 Mere fulfillment of minimum qualification and experience requirement for post does not
entitle the candidate to be called for interview/selection on Regular basis. A short listing
criterion may be set higher than the minimum.
4 Any misleading or wrong information supplied may lead to summarily rejection of
application/appointment if found subsequently.
5 Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of a candidate will be disqualification.
6 Application on plain paper or received after the last date or with incomplete
information/supporting documents will not be considered.
7 No interim queries regarding interview/selection will be entertained.
8 Additional sheet may be attached in the same format wherever the space allocated is felt to
be insufficient.
9 Candidate pursuing Ph.D. need to enclose a reference letter from his/her guide(s) indicating
preset status of his/her work.
10 Interview calls to candidates will be issued through their email ID and list of such candidates
will also be uploaded on the institute website.
11 Candidates called for interview will have to produce all the documents in original with one
set of self attested copies otherwise he/she may not be permitted to attend the interview.
12 Reservation as per M.P. Govt. norms is applicable. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH
category must submit the attested Xerox copies of their certificates on the format specified
by M.P. Govt.
13 All certificates/degree should be AICTE/UGC approved from recognized
universities/institutions.
14 Experience of temporary/Adhoc/Contract basis services can be counted provided period of
services was more than one year without any break and incumbent was appointed on the
recommendation of duly constituted selection committee. Period basis teaching experience
will not be counted.
15 Applicants should be prepared to come for interview at their own cost.
16 Decision of the BoG on the recommendation of selection committee shall be final and no
appeal or correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
17 In case AICTE/UGC revises qualifications, experience, etc, same will be applicable.
18 The selected candidate shall make his/her own arrangements for getting his/her relieve from
the parent Institute/organization.
19 Selected candidate shall join duty within the time prescribed in his/her appointment letter.
Failure to join duty within stipulated date will result as cancellation of selection.
20 Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the
essential qualifications, experience and API requirements prescribed for the post. It is for
the candidate themselves to ensure that they satisfy the prescribed requirement.

21 Candidates should continuously surf the institute website for any update/modifications,
corrigendum, etc. No communication will be entertained with any candidate.
22 The Institute authority reserves right to increase or decrease the no. of posts or cancel the
recruitment procedure to any or all posts without any prior and without assigning any reason
thereof.
23 Candidate may be required to make a brief technical presentation at the time of interview.
24 Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant.
Certificate/document/photograph will be summarily rejected.
25 All qualifications, experience will be considered on the last date of submission of
application from.
