GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. All bona fide and JPAMAns can join any of the events on the Friendship Day ‘20.
2. Each participant is given the liberty to join whichever activity they wanted to.
3. Failure to comply with the required number of participants per event
automatically disqualifies the team.
4. The teams must exercise ethics and are prohibited to throw negative yells.
Otherwise, they will be subjected to sanctions.
5. Any form of cheating, coaching and the likes are strictly prohibited and subject to
extreme sanctions.
6. Protests must be addressed to the respective committee heads for deliberation
immediately after the event with the exception of the academic events. Only the
team leaders are allowed to raise protests.
7. Complete list of participants per event shall be submitted on or before September
11, 2020.
8. Failure to submit the requirements means disqualification from the game.
9. Attendance during the Friendship Day shall be checked by the VM for
Membership.
10. Further announcements and subsequent changes (if any), shall be posted in the
JPAMA Official Page or any form of notification.

GUIDELINES FOR ACADEMIC EVENTS

Crossword Puzzle
Mechanics:

1. A crossword is a word puzzle and word search game. The game's goal is to
fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrase.
2. A clue and/or question is given which lead to the answers.
3. The shaded squares are used to separate the words or phrases.
4. The word cannot be formed diagonally, from right to left or from bottom to top.
5. The word can only be formed by a continuous horizontal or vertical row of
letters in the crossword puzzle.

Guidelines:

1. Crossword Puzzle will be consist of four categories;


Category 1 – Marist Trivia
Category 2 – Accounting
Category 3 – General Knowledge
Category 4 – Riddles
2. Each group shall have a total of four participants; there should be one
participant for each category. The group must consist one (1) 3 rd YR, two (2)
2nd YR and one (1) 1st YR.
3. Failure to comply the required number of participants from each group will
have a 50-point deduction on the final total score of the group for each lacking
number of participant/s.
4. Event head’s phone/timer shall be set to Standard Manila Time and will be
followed.
5. The contestant must be online five (10) minutes before the start of the event.
This will be considered the first call. The second call will be given on the start
of the event. The actual start of the competition will be ten (10) minutes after
the second call.
6. Event will be conducted though Facebook messenger on September 12, 2020
at 1:30PM
7. The event head shall create a group chat with the category one contestants
where crossword puzzle template for category one shall be posted.

8. Once the contestant for category one had finished answering, he/she shall
send it to the event head through private message. The event head shall then
send the next category template to the category two contestants through
private message. Note that only after a category has been answered can the
contestant proceed to answering the next category.
9. Scoring will be 50-50 percent basis, 50% for the group who have answered
with the least time and another 50% for the correct answers.
10. Each correct answer is equivalent to five (5) points.
11. The group with the highest combined points shall be declared winner.
12. Participants must behave themselves as would be expected of a responsible
individual. Failure to do so shall be ground for disqualification.

Word Search

Mechanics:

1. A word search is a word game that consists of letters of words placed in a


grid. The objective is to find all the hidden words.
2. A list of hidden words will be provided.
3. The hidden word can be positioned in all directions, written from left to right,
right to left, horizontally, vertically and diagonally, but is always on one
straight line.
4. The participants must cover the found words with COLORED LINES.
5. After finding all the hidden words, the participants must now complete the
sentence by using ALL the provided words.
6. In answering the complete the sentence part, the participants must NUMBER
THEIR ANSWERS based on the numbers written on the blanks.

Guidelines:

1. Each group shall be represented by five participants. One- 3rd year student,
two- 2nd year students, and two-1st year students will represent the group.
2. Participants must behave themselves as would be expected of a responsible
individual. Failure to do so shall be ground for disqualification.
3. Failure to comply the required number of participants from each group will
have a 20-point deduction on the final total score of the group for each lacking
number of participant/s.
4. It is advised that the participants should be online and ready at least five
minutes before the game starts. The participants shall be given a 10-minute
waiting time after the start of the game.
5. The game will be conducted via Facebook Messenger.
6. The game will be on September 12, 2020 at ________________.
7. The game consists of three levels, bearing different points and allotted
different time frames as follows:
Easy
 Every word found is equivalent to two points.
 Every correct word written on the blank is equivalent to three
points.
 The time allotted is 20 minutes.

Moderate
 Every word found is equivalent to three points.
 Every correct word written on the blank is equivalent to four points.
 The time allotted is 25 minutes.
Difficult
 Every word found is equivalent to three points.
 Every correct word written on the blank is equivalent to five points.
 The time allotted is 30 minutes.
Clincher
 Every word found is equivalent to two points.
 Every correct word written on the blank is equivalent to five points.
 The time allotted is 15 minutes.
8. The event head will create a group chat. All participants must be added there.
It is where the first level of the game shall be posted.
9. Once the participants are finished answering, only one of them should send
their answers to the event head via private message. The name of the team
should be indicated.
10. The second level of the game will also be posted in the group chat after all
the participants have sent their answers. Same process shall apply in the
third level.
11. There will be a corresponding deduction of 30 points on the final total score
for the group that sent their answers late.
12. Once the participants have sent their answers via private message it is
considered irrevocable.
13. Only the watch provided by the event head will be used in determining the
time.
14. The group with the highest final score shall be declared the winner. In case of
a tie, a clincher round shall be provided. If in case of a tie in the clincher
round, the first group that sent their answers will be the winner.

A.Y. 2020-2021

1. Each team shall be represented by three (3) participants (1 per year level)
to compete individually.
2. The event will be conducted online via Zoom at 00:00 am/pm
3. It is advised that the contestants must be online at least five (5) minutes
before the contest starts. This will be considered the first call. The second
call will be given on the start of the event. The actual start of the
competition will be 10 minutes after the second call.
4. Failure of a team member to arrive on time for the actual start of the event
is subject to disqualification. If the contest proper has already started and
another contestant of the group arrived he/she will not be allowed to be
with his competing group because he/she is considered to be disqualified
since he/she did not arrived on time.
5. The contestants are to answer the questions individually using the online
quiz platform mentioned earlier.
6. The competition shall be composed of three levels, bearing different points
and allotted different time frames as follows:
Easy 5 points 10 seconds
Moderate 10 points 15 seconds
Difficult 15 points 30 seconds
Clincher 15 points 30 seconds
7. The participants may start answering as soon as the quiz master begins
reading the question.
8. The participants must pick or provide their answer only after the Quiz
Master gave the “Go” signal, the lapse of which shall be signaled by a bell
ring. Failure to do so shall give rise to forfeiture on the part of the team for
the given question.
9. Only the contestants of a particular team may raise complaints regarding a
given question. The complaint, however, must have been raised before
the quiz master goes on to read the next question. Otherwise, the scores
of all teams for the question about which the complaint has been raised
shall be deemed proper and unalterable.
10. Any form of cheating during the duration of the online Quiz Bee shall
automatically lead to disqualification
11. Though the participants per team competed individually, their scores will
be aggregated. The team with the highest aggregate score after the three

rounds of questions shall be declared the winner. In case of tie, a clincher


round shall be provided. There will be 5 questions in the clincher round
which will be given to the teams who tied in their places. The team who
gets the highest aggregate points will be declared as the winner. If in case
of ties between two or more places, the teams who tied in such places will
be given the same set of questions but will be ranked separately
according to the place they have tied upon.
12. Any other directive which purports to facilitate the conduct of the
competition must be complied with judiciously.
13. Contestants must behave themselves as would be expected of a
responsible individual. Failure to do this shall be ground for
disqualification.

1. The War of the Wits is a combination of Vocabulary and Idiomatic Expression


test, Word Analogy and Logic Test, Paragraph Organization and Philippine
Constitution Test.
2. Each team shall have two participants. There are no year level restrictions.
3. Failure to comply the required number of participants means a five point
deduction on the final score of the team.
4. The contestants are required to download the app “Socrative Student” in
which the event will be played.
5. Before the game day, the event head will distribute to the participants a
tutorial video on how to use the app.
6. This event will be played on September 12, 2020 at exactly **:00 PM.
7. The participants are required to be online before the game time for the event
head will distribute the code for the app.
8. The event is good for 35 minutes only and participants are given only one
chance to play the game.
9. Late participants can still join the game but note that the app will automatically
close after 35 minutes.
10. The group with the highest combined points shall be declared winner.
11. Any form of cheating/hacking will not be tolerated.

Mechanics:

1. It is a word guessing game. It presents four pictures with something in


common- a single word that fits into the squares below the images.
2. The selection of letters appears just below the blanks.
3. It is all related to ACCOUNTING SUBJECTS (Basic Accounting, Partnership
and Corporation, Financial Accounting 1&2, Cost Accounting and Taxation)
,LAW SUBJECTS (Obligations and Contracts, and Partnership. Corporation
and Cooperative Law) and GENERAL KNOWLEDGE.
4. All answers must be in CAPITAL LETTERS.

Guidelines:

1. Each team shall have one (1) representative for this game.
2. The game will be conducted through Facebook Messenger at exactly 1:00 in
the afternoon on September 11, 2020.
3. It is advised that the representative shall be online at least five (5) minutes
before the game starts.
4. The event head will call for the representative five (5) minutes before the start
of the event. This will be considered the first call. The second call will be given
on the start of the game. The actual start of the competition will be 10 minutes
after the second call. Failure of the team to arrive on time for the actual start of
the game will be subject for disqualification.
5. Each representative is given one (1) hour and thirty minutes to guess the
words as many as you can. Failure to submit within the time frame shall have
a five (5) point deduction per minute. Furthermore, if the representative fails to
submit until 3:30 in the afternoon will be subject for elimination.
6. The team members are allowed to help the representative. However, only the
representative’s answer will be acknowledged.
7. Posting 4pics 1 word questions on social media is prohibited and any form of
cheating will be subject for disqualification.
8. The answers shall be given through a private message with the event head.
Once submitted, it is considered to be the final answer.
9. This game is composed of three (3) rounds, the EASY, AVERAGE and
DIFFICULT. Corresponding points and number of question are as follows:

Video Making

1. Each team must have two (2) official participants.


2. The team shall submit one (1) competing entry.
3. The content must be aligned with the theme: Quaranthings.
4. Videographers are not allowed to get video clips from social media. If
proven, this may be a subject for disqualification.
5. Technical assistance from outside source is strictly prohibited. Only the
official participants must edit the video.
6. The video content shall have a maximum time of five (5) minutes and a
minimum of two (2) minutes including the introduction and credits. A three (3)
point deduction from the overall scoring will be made if this rule is violated.
7. Each team must provide a title and captions about the video.
8. The video shall be sent to [email protected] with a Subject
Title: VideoMaking-GROUPNAME along with the title and captions of the
video.
9. The video must be submitted on or before September 11, 2020 at exactly
11:00 am. A five (5) point deduction from the overall scoring will be made if
this rule is violated.
10. All entries will be shared on the official NDMU JPAMA facebook page.
11. The entry will be judged based on the following:

2. The output shall cover the said theme of the event.
3. The competing groups must provide their own camera.
4. Pictures must be free from edited effects, photo shops, and other photo
editors.
5. Each team must provide their own captions about the photo.
6. The photo shall be sent to [email protected] with a Subject
Title: Photography-GROUPNAME along with their captions of the photo.
7. The photos must be submitted on or before (September 11, 2020) (11AM). A
five (5) point deduction from the overall scoring will be made if the rule is
violated.
8. All entries will be shared on the official NDMU JPAMA Facebook page.
9. The winner of the said event will be based on the number of Facebook
reacts in their entries.

1. Each group shall have eight (8) participants present in the video.
2. The duration of the video should be restricted to 60 seconds.
3. The video shall be submitted to the officer-in-charge and on the day of deadline,
September 11, 2020 (11:00am).
4. A calculator should be used and passed by the participants in the video.
5. The video should be creative and witty.
6. The videos submitted will be posted on the Facebook page.
7. The winning video shall be based on the garnered likes.

1. All teams have no minimum and maximum participants for this event;
everyone is encouraged to join and participate in the said activity.
2. The team shall send their piece to Kindahl Jan D. Alog on September 11,
2020, 11 am. There will be a 20-point deduction on the total score of the group
for every one (1) hour late.
3. The team will be given another 3 hours for them to pass the video, but the
deduction will still be imposed (60 points deduction). Furthermore, they will be
disqualified if the team failed to pass in the given excess time and if the team
fails to submit until 2:00 in the afternoon they will be subject for elimination
4. Every team is allowed to make a music video relevant to the song composed.
A video with lyrics and the song composed as the background music is
allowed.
5. The team may use Filipino, Hiligaynon, and Bisaya in composing their piece.
Furthermore, they may combine dialects as long as it is understandable.
6. Using of foul and bad words is strictly prohibited.
7. The video must have a minimum of 4 minutes and a maximum of 6 minutes.
8. The composed song shall be all about the experiences and the values of a
Management Accounting student.
9. The team whose video exceeds the required period shall be given a ten (10)
point deduction in the total score for every ten (10) seconds excess of the
maximum time and ten (10) point deductions in the total score for every ten
(10) seconds lack of the minimum time.
10. Each team may use guitars, bass, keyboards, and other necessary
instruments in the music video or lyric video.

1. There shall be only one (1) participant per team


2. The slogan should be in accordance with the ‘Theme: “Beginning of conquest:
Dominating the battlefield through camaraderie and synergy"’.
3. Participants should use their own drawing materials (any kind of drawing
medium is allowed).
4. The slogan should be written in a 1/8 size illustration board and the number of
words should not be more than ten (10). No variables or numbers should be
included in the slogan.
5. Artwork must be in LANDSCAPE layout orientation. Nonconformity shall be
given 2-point deductions from the overall scores.
6. The team shall send their piece to Kindahl Jan D. Alog on September 11,
2020, 11 am. There will be a 20-point deduction on the total score of the
group for every one (1) hour late.
7. The team will be given another 3 hours for them to pass the video, but the
deduction will still be imposed (60 points deduction). Furthermore, they will be
disqualified if the team failed to pass in the given excess time and if the team
fails to submit until 2:00 in the afternoon they will be subject for elimination
8. The decision of the Judges shall be final and irrevocable.
9. The entry will be judged based on the following:

A.Y. 2020-2021

1. Each group is entitled with four (4) players and one (1) reserve player for this
game.
2. One (1) 3rd year student, two (2) 2nd year students, and one (1) 1st year
student will represent the group.
3. They will decide if the reserved player will be the one to play before starting the
game due to reasonable situations (e.g. sudden loss of internet connection or
health problems etc.) on the game day.
4. Failure to comply the required number of participants will have 5 points
deduction from the final score of the group for each lacking participant.
5. Players must be 10 minutes early online in the ZOOM application before the
allotted time of the game. Late participants are not allowed, it is considered 5
point deduction to the group’s score. One team at a time will be present in the
zoom for the game.
6. Each group will be given the same phrases or sentences to guess. Members of
the playing team will be given 3 tries or chances in every phrase or sentence to
guess the letters present in the phrase or sentence.
7. They are given the chance to pass a phrase or sentence only twice if they
cannot guess the phrase or sentence.
8. Every group will be given 5 minutes to play the game. The members from the
team to play will be the only people that should be present in the Zoom during
the game.
9. A 3rd year participant of this game should keep connected with the head of the
game and wait for a call to log in into the zoom for the game.
10. The group who got the highest numbers of correct answers will be the winner.
