Chili Crab with String Beans
PREP TIME: 15 MIN COOK TIME: 20 MIN YEILD: 4 SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS
6 pieces crab alimasag or alimango, cut in half
8 pieces snake beans sitaw, cut in 2 inch length
1 knob ginger minced
6 cloves garlic crushed and minced
1 medium onion minced
5 pieces chili pepper
1 piece egg beaten
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup tomato ketchup
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste
PROCEDURES
1. Combine chicken broth, soy sauce, ketchup, and cornstarch in a bowl. Stir to mix. Set aside.
2. Heat the oil in a wok or large pan. Once the oil gets hot, saute the garlic, onion, and ginger.
3. Once the onion gets soft, add the chili and snake beans. Stir fry in high heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Add the crab. Continue to stir fry for 5 minutes.
5. Sprinkle salt and ground black pepper. Pour-in the chicken broth mixture and then toss to coat. Cook
for 1 minute.
6. Pour the beaten egg and stir fry for 3 minutes.
7. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with warm white rice.

Drunken Mussels Recipe
PREP TIME: 10 MIN COOK TIME: 18 MIN YIELD: 4 SERVINGS
INGREDEINTS
2 1/2 lbs. mussels cleaned
2 cups white wine Pinot Grigio
3 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 lime wedged
PROCEDURES
1. Melt butter in a pan.
2. Once the butter melts and starts to get hot, add the garlic. Continue to cook in low to
medium heat until the garlic turns light brown. Do not cook in high heat because the butter
can get burnt.
3. Pour-in the white wine. Let boil. Continue to cook and liquid evaporate until it reduces to
half.
4. Add the mussels. Stir. Cover and cook for 10 minutes in medium heat.
5. Add salt and chopped parsley. Stir. Cook for 2 minutes.
6. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with lime wedges.

Corn Soup with Mussels and Malunggay
PREP TIME: 8 MIN COOK TIME: 30 MIN YIELD: 4 SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. mussels tahong, cleaned
1 14 oz. can whole kernel corn
1 cup malunggay leaves
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon ginger minced
1 medium yellow onion minced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons cooking oil
PROCEDURES
1. Drain the water from the canned corn. Process the corn using a food processor or blender. Set aside.
2. Heat the oil in a cooking pot.
3. Once the oil gets hot, sauté the ginger and onion.
4. Add the garlic powder, corn, and mussels. Cook for minute.
5. Pour-in the water and chicken broth. Let boil. Simmer for 8 minutes.
6. Add the malunggay leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
7. Transfer to as serving bowl.
