I. TECHNOLOGY AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION
LABORATORY
TLE laboratory are furnished with adequate and quality tools, appliances and kitchen
equipment for the different exploratory and specialized subjects.

The rooms are equipped with fixtures, working tables, chairs and demonstration table.
The cooking laboratory is provided with a small first-aid kit cabinet and a fire
extinguisher for safety and fire purposes. The TLE Laboratory have its own comfort
room for emergency purposes.

The TLE Laboratory will encourage students to venture into the higher level o
knowledge, exploration, research and practicums.

The TLE laboratory will allow students from Grades 7-10 to acquire the skills in
Handicraft, Commercial cooking, Bread and Pastry and Cookery.

II. SCHOOL VISION – MISSION, INSTITUTIONAL


OBJECTIVES, CORE VALUES AND PHILOSOPHY
A. VISION
The School of Saint Joseph, a Catholic School, as an evangelizing arm
of the local church, envisions itself as a holistically transformed
Christian Community founded on the person of Jesus.

B. MISSION
Therefore, the School of Saint Joseph is committed;

 To provide equal opportunity and access to transformative Catholic


education integrating Gospel and Filipino cultural values responsive
to the signs of the time;

 To promote a culture of excellence that encourages individualize


formation leading to Christian community living;

 To reach out to people enriching faith, life, and culture experiences


essential in building a just and humane society; and

C. Institutional Objectives
 To provide holistic education anchored on the national development
goals of Department of Education and Gospel Values and teachings of
the church that leads to the development of students’ intellectual,
social, physical, emotional, moral and spiritual life.

 To provide life-oriented curricular and co-curricular programs which


gives emphasis on Justice and Peace, Environmental Awareness,
Engaged Citizenship, Gender Sensitivity, and Youth Empowerment?

 To raise students’ level of awareness and appreciation of Filipino

E. Philosophy
The School of Saint Joseph Inc., a Catholic School upholds integral
human formation of the students and of the whole school community
to mold everyone to become faithful Disciples of Christ and stewards
of God’s creation, committed to the service of God and of humanity.

III. SCHOOL SEAL

The seal is the emblem of the school used for authentication and
identification.

Saint Joseph with Jesus Christ in his bosom symbolizes Father and
Child relationship as the School and Student relationship.

The Circle that surrounds the seal symbolizes total human liberation
and Christian transformation

The Green color symbolizes Pro-Life.


IV. TECHNOLOGY AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION
POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

A. MAINTENANCE OF THE LABORATORY

 Every user of the TLE laboratory has a responsibility to keep


the laboratory clean, safe and in order after use.
 No items should be removed from the TLE laboratory
without permission and approval from the one in charge.
 Willful damage to the TLE laboratory property will be
charged to the person concerned. Any damage or repair
should be reported to the person concerned.
 Electricals lights, fans, electric stove, gas tank, must be
switched off after use.

B. PROPER DECUROM
 Everyone using the TLE laboratory has the right to enjoy
his/her stay, thus, he/she is expected to control his/her voice
and engage in a pleasing conversation.
 The use of complete cooking outfit for safety and proper
hygiene is a must for students and teachers.
 Everyone is expected to observe proper etiquette and right
table manners.

C. PERMISSION TO ENTER
 Students are forbidden to enter the TLE lab without any
permission form the TLE Teacher.
 Unauthorized person is not permitted to keep the keys of the
TLE lab.
 Activities and practicum in the TLE lab must be submitted
for approval.

V. ROLES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE TLE LABORATORY


PERSONNEL

1. TLE COORDINATOR
The TLE coordinator assists in the implementation of the TLE
Program which is geared towards the realization of the Vision Mission,
Goals and Objectives of the school.

Specific Responsibilities:

a. Plans programs in assessing the needs of the students.


b. Conduct TLE- related activities addressing students’
development in cooking, industrial arts and handicraft.
c. Consult with the administrators, TLE advisers, and parents
regarding students’ needs and growth.
d. Confers with parents regarding activities.
e. Conducts surveys on the needs of gifted, non – achievers and
special students.
f. Conducts monitoring of tools and equipment.
g. Monitor the cleanliness and orderliness of the TLE lab.

2. TLE ADVISERS

Specific Responsibilities

- Supervises/assists the coordinator in planning TLE activities and


plans that is related on the vision - mission of the school.
- Participates in the preparation and implementation of activities.
- Is in charge of preparing reports of students on request for
schedules of test time.
- Conducts sessions with parents and coordinators on student
problems.

VI. FACILITIES

A. TLE LABORATORY
The atmosphere in the laboratory should create a friendly, cordial and
congenial atmosphere conducive to the counseling process. The furnishings are
very simple but decent.
