Course Description: This course covers inverse functions, derivatives of inverse functions, tech-
niques of integration focusing on trigonometric substitution and partial fractions, Trapezoidal
rule and Simpson’s rule, arc length, indeterminate forms, sequences, series and power series.
Prerequisite(s): Calculus I [Math 1021].
Credit Hours: hrs

Course Objectives:
On completion of the course, successful students will be able to:-

1. understand the basic definition of inverse function,


2. find derivatives of inverse functions,
3. evaluate integrals of different types of functions,
4. evaluate limits by L’ Hôpital’s Rule,
5. approximate functions by Taylor’s polynomial,
6. determine convergence or divergence of a series,
7. find the interval of convergence of a power series,
8. approximate a function by using its power series,
9. apply integrals (arc length, surface area),
10. approximate integrals by Trapezoidal, and Simpson’s rules,
11. find the Taylor’s series expansion of a function
