Pilosopo Tasyo is a character in Noli Me Tangere who was formerly known as Don Anastacio. He comes from a wealthy family but his mother stopped him from attending school because she feared he would lose his faith. He disobeyed her and married, but his wife died after a year. After this loss, Tasyo devoted himself to reading. He is seen as a philosopher among the townspeople for his accurate ideas. The author relates to Tasyo's love of reading and using walks to reduce stress, and sees similarities between Tasyo and Bill Gates in their critical thinking and decision to stop formal schooling.

PILOSOPO TASYO

In the novel “Noli Me Tangere” Pilosopo Tasyo is a former Don Anastacio, he just always
roaming around on the street. He came from the rich Family. Because of being so smart his
mother make him stopped attending school. Because her mother was afraid that pilosopo Tasyo
forget being faithful to God. But he disobeyed her mother, instead he just married someone, but
after 1 year her wife died. After his sorrow, Tasyo put all his time in to reading.

Don Anastacio, commonly known as Pilisopo Tasyo is one of the most important character in
Noli Me Tangere. On the one hand, he is referred to as a philosopher/sage because his ideas were
accurate with the minds of the townspeople.

I relate myself to Pilosopo Tasyo because I also like to read book and when I feel stressed out or
feel anxious I’d also want to roam around outside because it is so relaxing, the only different is
that I’ am not smart like him. To be honest Pilosopo Tasyo is one of my favorite characters in
Noli Me Tangere.

I relate Pilosopo Tasyo to Bill Gates because Bill Gates is also critical thinker, logical, creative,
and objective and of course smart. Hence of that, they both stop attending school.
