Comp 1703 - Lab 8 Marks /20 (Every question is worth 1 unless specified)

Download/Open the “Lab 8 Starter” file from DC Connect and save to your computer as “YourName Lab 8”.
(Save often to prevent issues!)
1. On the Freeze worksheet unfreeze the existing sheet and freeze the data so that the first two columns and
the first two rows are frozen.
2. On the Freeze (2) worksheet freeze the data so that the first three columns and the first row are frozen.
3. On the Sort worksheet create a table called “My_Bills” and do a multilevel sort whereby {2.5 Marks}
NOTE:This must be a multilevel sort or you will not receive any marks.
a. First level is by Category sorted A-Z
b. Second level is by Date Paid showing newest dates first.
c. Third level is by Amount showing largest to smallest
d. Fourth level is by Cust Status sorted Z-A
4. On the Sort (2) worksheet create a table called “YourFirstName” (My table is called “Manmeet”) and do a
multilevel sort whereby {2.5 Marks} NOTE:This must be a multilevel sort or you will not receive any marks.
a. First level is by Date Paid showing newest dates first
b. Second level is by Customer Status sorted Z-A
c. Third level is by Category sorted A-Z
d. Fourth level is by Amount sorted Largest to Smallest
5. On the Filter worksheet create a table called “Filter” and filter whereby {3.5 Marks}
a. Remove anyone with an outstanding balance (anyone with a yes in the Outstanding category) (This
is the only filter that will not be custom. i.e., where you can simply remove the check box)
b. The Payee name must contain either the word “Feed” OR “Office”
c. Date Paid must be before Dec 10, 2013
d. Amount must be at least “$100.00” and must be under “$300.00”.
6. On the Filter (2) worksheet the table has already been created {3.5 Marks}
a. Clear any existing filters
b. The Category must NOT contain words “farm” AND “medicine” in the name (Use the text filter to do
this. Do not just remove the check box from “farm” and “medicine”
c. The Payee must NOT contain the words “supply” AND “drugs” in the name (Use the text filter to do
this. Do not just remove the check box from “supply” and “drugs”
d. Date Paid must be after Nov 19, 2013
e. Amount must be between “$100.00” AND “$300.00”
7. On the Advanced Functions worksheet, use a function to calculate the following. {2 Marks}
a. In cell H2 calculate how many bill amounts are over $50
b. In cell H5 calculate how many bills that are over $200 are still outstanding. (These have a “Yes”)
8. On the Advanced Functions worksheet, use a function to calculate the following. {2 Marks}
a. In cell J2 calculate the total bill amounts for “Administration”.
b. In cell J5 calculate the total bill amounts for “Farm” that are under $100.
9. On the Advanced Functions worksheet, use a function to calculate the following. {2 Marks}
a. In cell L2 calculate the average bills for farm.
b. In cell L5 calculate the average bills for Medicine of $100 or more.
