Brand of my car: Suzuki
Model of my car: Cultus

Part 2:
Name:
7. Battery Indicator
8. Parking brake indicator
Functions:
1. Speedometer:
Speedometer is an instrument that indicates the speed of a vehicle usually
combined with a device known as odometer. The Suzuki cultus offers a digital
speedometer. Car’s computer monitors wheel speed and reports it to speedometer, which
makes you aware of how fast you’re going.
2. Tachometer:
A tachometer is an instrument measuring the rotation speed of a shaft. The device
usually displays the revolution per minute (RPM). The tachometer displays 0 to around 8
2
rpm, with a line of red soon after. The red line helps to prevent “red lining” the engine,
which can cause significant damage.
3. Odometer:
The function of a odometer is that it measures the distance traveled by a vehicle.
It is installed in the dashboard in the speedometer. The maintenance of a car is generally
carried out through a certain number of thousands of kilometer. The device records the
number in kilometers, not centimeter or meter.
4. Fuel Gauge:
It is an instrument used to indicate the amount of fuel in a fuel tank. The fuel
gauge reads from empty, “E”, to full, “F”, with four marks in between, for quarter, half,
and three quarters full.
5. Temperature Gauge:
The temperature gauge measures vehicle’s coolant temperature. The gauge helps
to determine if the car is going to overheat, which can damage the engine. The gauge
should not go above the halfway mark, and if it does, we can park the car to let it cool
down.
6. Indicators:
The function of indicators is that to show an intended change of direction,
whether turning left or right or moving out into traffic. If we pull up the indicator, then it
will indicate left direction, and if pull down the indicator, then it will indicate right
direction which shown on the dashboard.
7. Battery Indicator:
All cars have a battery light on the dashboard that is designed to warn us if the
recharging system fails. If the battery light comes on and stays on light while driving, the
most common cause is broken alternator belt. Car will be fine if the battery sign end.
8. Parking Brake Indicator:
The function of a parking brake is to prevent the car rolling on an incline once it
is parked. If the parking brake applied, then the sign shows in the dashboard.
