Access Tutorial Part 2

A form is an object that allows you to input, edit, or view data from/in your database. Forms usually
display one record at a time and can be customized based on user preference. We can pick 2 types of
forms generation in Access, we can use a pre laid out form, and then re-arrange the fields or start a
blank form for full customized view.

We will be using a pro-forma form layout. Click the create tab and click form.

Form layout of the contacts table:


To further customize the layout, remove the predefined layout by selecting all the fields (press CTRL +
A), right click and choose layout and remove layout.

Move, resize and rename the labels and the text boxes anywhere in the field.

Ctrl-b Bold the current selection.

Change the font color.

Use thousand separators.

Increase decimal places.

Decrease decimal places.

Add gridlines.

Change the weight of gridlines.

Add a logo.

Add or change a title.

Add a date and time.

Set line thickness.
