Virtual reality exploration to look at the city and pick out visable arrays. Students will look at
the virtual reality display and look for arrays.

Students will work through the teacher paced Nearpod lesson to define arrays, look for
examples of arrays, and to build arrays. Students will draw on the ipad or use manipulatives to
build arrays on their desk.

The Nearpod activity will allow me to see which students need more help with building arrays
and determining multiplication facts based on arrays. While students are answering the
Nearpod assessment questions, I will be able to assist the students with hands-on
manipulatives to determine mastery.

Elaboration Students will create 5 multiplication problems using manipulatives such as these:

The students will create the multiplication problems that go along


with each array. Once they have determined their arrays and their multiplication problem they
will take a picture of the array, upload it into the Show Me App and record themselves
explaining their arrays.
Steps:

Open Show Me App
Click Create new Show Me

Write the number to represent the rows.


Write the number to represent the columns.
Write the multiplication fact.
Press the record button to tell what you did along with the multiplication fact.
