This document summarizes a student project for a Medical Management System. It was created by two students, Ashwini Shinde and Savitri Bhosale, for their BCA degree. The project aims to computerize the record keeping of a medical store to make the process more efficient. Currently, the store keeps paper-based records of purchases, stock, sales, and customers. The proposed system will use Visual Basic 6.0 for the front end and Access 2003 for the back end database. It will allow entry of product and customer information and retrieving data in an easy manner.

The existing system is not a computerized. In the medical shopped currently the
entire working of the system is done manually on the paper .The owner keeps records of
all the purchase order and stock in a register & when client asked the question to the
worker about product then the worker provide the whole information about that product
and after sold this product & that particular day the record of the sold product &
customer related important information are stored on a paper.
In that shopped record are stored in the book. No use of
computerized system. For this reason, there is need of Computerization of
the existing system, to overcome the above problems or drawbacks of
existing system of maintaining records.

Introduction of System:-

 I am trying to make the software for the record keeping of the


medical store. This will reduce the lot of efforts of this
registration team.

 I have attempted to do this using Microsoft Visual


Basic 6.0. and Microsoft Access 2003. It was easy to use the
Visual Basic 6.0 because it has user friendly interface. There are
some form I have created used for the entering Product
information, Bill information when he/she is admitted first time
in the shop.

 This software allows the operator to enter all


information about the customer in very easy manner. Retrieving
such information is also easy.

 Scope of System:-
 Speed- The speed of carrying out the given instruction
logically & numerically is incomparable between
computer &human
 Accuracy – System can calculate very accurately
 Reliability - The information sore in system is in digital
format. The information can be store lone time & have
long life
 Storage- System can Store huge data for a long time in
comparison to human brain
 Automatically – System perform work automatically
through use friendly .

 Purpose of System:-

Computer graphics remains one of the most existing & rapidly growing
computer fields. Computer graphics has now become a common element
in user interface , data utilization , television commercials , motion picture ,
& many other application.
The development of this project gave us a life time opportunity to
implement hardware, interactive & designative virtual. From which we got of
practical knowledge about programming & language, which was not possible
by theory.
REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION

 Software Requirements

 Operating system: - Microsoft Windows XP.

 Design Tool:-Smart draw/E R Draw.

 Front End: - Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0


(It is event driven programming language)

 Back End: - Microsoft Office Access 2010
