CST236 - Arduino Lab

The team assembled an Arduino kit, connecting various electronic components like LEDs, sensors, motors and relays. They followed the instructions to test that each part worked as expected, learning about input/output, circuit wiring and how electricity flows through the Arduino board. Components such as LEDs, motors, sensors and relays were tested individually and functions like lighting sequences, temperature readings and sound controls were demonstrated.

Summary

We simply followed the instructions from each question. First, unboxed the kit. We checked if

anything was missing. Second, we assembled the parts. Third, followed the steps in the Circuit,

assembled parts as guided. Finally, the parts like LED lights, a photo resistor, a motor, a single

servo, a temperature sensor, push bottoms, RGB LED, a potentiometer, a relay, a buzzer etc.,

will work as the book told. We learned about the concepts of input/output, and the logic of wire

connecting, absolute persistency, and how the electricity runs on the board when solving

problems.
1. We assembled all the needed parts and run the code, and the LED turned on.
2. When we twisted the blue stuff, the LED flashing speed changed.
3. Connect all the stuff, and the light turns on with red, blue, and green color.
4. The lights turn on in sequence and turn off in sequence as well.
5. When we cover the photo resistor, the LED becomes brighter.
6. It detected the temperature from our fingers and show the temperature results on screen.
7. The buzzer sings, and we can change its sounds and pace.
8. Relays, when we run the code and we could see both lights alternate illustrating and

heard sound from the relay.
