PERFORMANCE TEST

SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION FOR THE CANDIDATE


Qualification: EVENTS MANAGEMENT SERVICES NC III
Project: DEVELOP AN EVENT PROGRAM
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

General Instructions:
This unit covers the knowledge, skills, behavior and motivations required to
design an event program. Event managers, either internal or external to the
sponsoring organization, would generally undertake this role.

Specific Instruction:

1. You are required to explain the following concept to the candidate


so that they can understand and evaluate the development concept
of an event

2. Given the necessary tools, equipment, supplies and materials and


learning material, the candidate is required to prepare the
following:

SUPPLIES/MATERIALS
Sample proposal
Sample brochures and other pertinent document relating

Books relating to business proposal writing

Books relating to event management

3. The trainer will allow 20 minutes for you to familiarize yourself


with the resources to be used in this demonstration.

4. The assessment shall be based on the units of competency in the


Training Regulations and the Evidence Plan and shall focus on the
following evidence gathering methods below:
 Discussion
 Lecture
 Simulation
 Case study

5. Trainer may perform oral questioning of the candidate before or


after the performance of the tasks. Trainer shall provide feedback
of your performance at the end of the assessment. The feedback
shall indicate whether you are Competent or Not Yet Competent.
