MT081373.1 has 11 genes (VP4,VP2,VP3,VP1,2A,2B,2C,3A,3B,3C,3D)
To clone VP1 segment location from 566aa(1698bp) to 862aa(2586bp) to plasmid we
use restriction enzyme NdeI and ShI to cut the segment (using NEBcutter). We use NdeI
and ShI because it do not cut our sequence into smaller fragments.
MT081373.1 has 51 ORFs:
Swiss-Prot (created in 1986) is a high quality manually annotated and non-redundant
protein sequence database, which brings together experimental results, computed
features and scientific conclusions. UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot is now the reviewed section of
the UniProt Knowledgebase.
The TrEMBL section of UniProtKB was introduced in 1996 in response to the increased
dataflow resulting from genome projects. It was already recognized at that time that the
traditional time- and labour-intensive manual curation process which is the hallmark of
Swiss-Prot could not be broadened to encompass all available protein sequences.
UniProtKB/TrEMBL contains high quality computationally analyzed records that are
enriched with automatic annotation and classification. These UniProtKB/TrEMBL
unreviewed entries are kept separated from the UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot manually
reviewed entries so that the high quality data of the latter is not diluted in any way.
Automatic processing of the data enables the records to be made available to the public
quickly.
Different between Swiss-Prot and TrEMBL
UniProtKB/TrEMBL (unreviewed) contains protein sequences associated with computationally
generated annotation and large-scale functional characterization. UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot
(reviewed) is a high quality manually annotated and non-redundant protein sequence database,
which brings together experimental results, computed features, and scientific conclusions.
How can we know the data in which UniProtKB?
In order to have minimal redundancy and to improve sequence reliability, all protein sequences
encoded by a same gene are merged into a single UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot entry. Differences
found between various sequencing reports are analysed and fully described in the feature table
(alternative splicing events, polymorphisms or conflicts for example). Once in UniProtKB/Swiss-
Prot, a protein entry is removed from UniProtKB/TrEMBL.
There are 1,929 results for “Enterovirus A71” but only 3 of them were reviewed by
