    REUSABLE NOTEBOOKS

    Idea
    One of the major perils faced by the student community at any college is maintaining
    and purchasing new notebooks for each subject after the end of every semester.
    Moreover, as the exams approach near, the frequency of doing practice questions and
    rough work also increases. This means a huge expenditure for a student at any college
    majorly data and numerical courses such as Accounting, Engineering and MBA. As
    students, we have seen in IIM Kozhikode that every semester has its own share of
    numerical subjects. Some of the past subjects such as Corporate Finance, Data
    Analytics demanded a lot of practice for understanding the concepts related to the
    subject and this needed solving numerical and number crunching. This, in turn, resulted
    in extensive use of notebooks. Apart from being heavy on student’s wallet, this also
    contributes to environmental emancipation.

    Product
    This is where our product will fit in: A reusable notebook. A One-stop solution for all
    the notes and painstakingly done practice problems. Featuring whiteboard paper and
    markers, a student using this can write, erase, repeat as and when he wants, without
    running out to the nearest stationery shop to refill. The paper utilised will be based on
    the whiteboard surface and the notebook can feature around 30-40 sheets of same.
    Also, to prevent smudging and inkblots, we will integrate the notebook with butter paper
    too. This will also give a smooth writing experience along with healthy environment
    sustenance. And additionally, we can provide customised cover bound of the notebook
    as per student’s demand to give each notebook a personalized feel.

    Customer group
    The student community will be the primary segment that we will be targeting for our
    product. Also, it can be distributed during competitive examinations such as CAT so that
    student can use these notebooks for their rough calculations. Further, associations can
    be made with corporates to use these notebooks during meetings and other occasions
    as a part of their CSR.
    Pricing range
    Taking into account the procurement of the necessary reusable and environment-
    friendly paper, markers, butter paper, spiral binds, we are contemplating a price range
    of around ₹300-400. Considering the fact that the notebook would be a one-time
    investment and riding on its sustainability factor we believe that we would be able to
    woo consumers.
