I. Features of K-12 Program


1.1 Ensuring Integrated and Seamless Learning (Spiral Progression)

1.3 Nurturing the Holistically Developed Filipino (College and Livelihood Readiness,

II. Causes of Implementation of the K-12 program
2.1 Provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners,
and prepare graduates for tertiary education.
2.2 A 13-year program is found to be the best period for learning under basic education.
It is also the recognized standard for students and professionals globally.
2.3 The Philippines is the last country in Asia and one of only three countries
worldwide with a 10-year pre-university cycle (Angola and Djibouti are the other two).
III. Advantages of K-12 Program
3.1 K-12 program is designed to be qualified in the standards of education system
globally.
3.2 Globally competitive in the job market.
3.3 Conditioned to be in a workforce.
