SCHOOL’S VISION STATEMENT

By 2022, General Santos City National Secondary School of Arts & Trades
Extension (GSCNSSAT-EXTENSION) is one of the best performing child-friendly
schools, with adequate facilities and services, school performances that are with the
standards; quality learners who are value-oriented and do actively participate and
contribute towards the building of a decent and productive society.

SCHOOL’S MISSION STATEMENT

Through resource generation and effective curriculum implementation by


accountable and competent school personnel supported by the cross-section of the
school community, General Santos City National Secondary School of Arts & Trades
Extension (GSCNSSAT-EXTENSION) shall provide quality elementary education that is
equitably accessible to all and lay foundation for life-long learning and service for
common goals.

1.1. School’s Current Situation

The school was headed by Mr. Bienvenido L. Ruedas, Jr. for almost five years.
This school year, the school has 31 nationally funded teachers, Three (3) of which
are newly hired (for SY 2019-2020) as the result of Teacher Needs analysis approved
by the region with the hope of catering Senior High School Program in the long run; yet,
the 31 all are Teacher I, and In the pinnacle of continuously high enrolment rate and
demands, the school are now facing various rifts, insufficiencies and conflicts but
manageably carrying out with the help of our generous external stakeholders.
The school has the total enrolment of 880 last School year 2017-2018. In School
year 2018-2019 the total enrolment was 816. Recently, the school is continually
counting the emerging registrants for about 100 % as of November 2020, that is for its
first six years of operation.

GSCNSSAT-EXTENSION has postured with zero dropout rate from the start of
its operation until last school year 2019-2020. Minor repairs are the only needs for our
existing classrooms. Yet, the school is looking forward for additional support amidst this
current pandemic to generate another school buildings, materials and laboratories to
promote holistic learning experience of our clienteles as the enrolment rate starts to
buckle up the classroom ratio. We have no school library to house our instructional
materials aside from classrooms and also, Audio-Visual Room, Guidance Office,
Computer Lab and Functional Clinic are with our vision to provide relevant materials
and equipment to make all our goals be realized in the next school years.
