Main Purpose of Job

Develop, maintain and improve a Demand Plan for a portfolio of products which represents the most realistic estimate of customer demand. Ensure the alignment of
this Demand Plan with internal and external partners through the Monthly Business Planning process. Identify and manage exceptions, and monitor performance in
order to continually improve the quality and reliability of the Demand Plan and the Company’s ability to sense and respond to changing circumstances.

Key Outputs: List the main results which the job must deliver in order to achieve its purpose. Measurements / Performance Indicators
Collate Information and Assumptions received from Markets and HQ Marketing, Commercial and Finance :
- Ensure commitment from all functions, build and maintain good communication and collaboration both within
Supply Chain and with HQ Commercial, Marketing and Finance, in line with Monthly Business Planning (MBP) best
practices.
- Ensure that inputs from Marketing and Sales events, consumer & competitor information, other external / internal
trends which impact demand are captured on the 18 rolling months forecasts plan submitted by the markets.
- Collect from HQ Consumer Insight, Marketing and Commercial information regarding product launches, portfolio Monthly Business Planning (MBP) Best Practices
optimization, rationale of commercial decisions (e.g. price changes), promotions and customer behavior.

Ensure successful product launches and phase-outs :


- Liaise with HQ Marketing and Commercial in order to understand if all launch or phase-out informations have been
submitted to the markets, prior to Supply Chain communication.
- Request and support markets in providing their 18 rolling months demand plan of new products. NPDI Process and Project Launch Best Practices
- Ensure that phase-out products are reflected in the market 18 rolling months demand plan.

Consolidate and challenge market forecasts :


Consolidate the 18 rolling months demand plan for a given portfolio of products and ensure that: Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) and Bias
- planned market events are reflected
- demand plan follows historical seasonality patterns
- range mix is consistent with HQ Marketing and Commercial guidelines and MBP approved growth rates
- overall market volumes are consistent

Check and challenge Market's DPA results:


- Follow-up actual sales to identify over or under-forecasted activities.
- Suggest to the markets appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan.
Communicate these actions to stakeholders.
- Consistently improve Demand Plan Accuracy and Bias through process improvement and problem solving DPA and Bias, DP Reason Codes
activities with the markets.
- Trigger implementation of Demand and Supply Planning processes and tools in order to deliver tangible benefits
(e.g. time savings, increased efficiencies).

Share and publish the consolidated forecast:


- Through systematic reporting, ad-hoc reports and communication, ensure that Demand Plan information is
available to all internal stakeholders.

Reach Consensus through Alignment (MBP):


- Support the MBP meetings (MFR, MOR, Zone MBP) by collecting inputs from internal stakeholders and Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) and Bias
preparing the presentation materials
- Analyse the 18 rolling months demand plan and ensure alignment with Dynamic Forecasts.
- Challenge Supply Chain Teams in the markets and understand if their 18 rolling months demand plan is
consistent with business development
- Support markets with problem solving initiatives to reach KPI targets (e.g. GSTD, DMAIC)
