The tables of six are directly in front of the whiteboard. The tables were not set up
parallel to each other, rather they all face the whiteboard. This set up gives access to the
whiteboard to all students during direct instruction. The small groups are placed to the right of
the teacher’s desk. If small groups are not teacher-led, then the teacher is free to walk around and
have the desk close by. If students are doing individual work then the teacher can supervise from
two areas, either the desk or the teacher station to the left. The teacher has a view of the desks,
materials station, and library. The teacher station provides a space where the teacher can work
with individual students that might need help. The computer station was placed in between the
teacher’s desk and teacher station so that the teacher can supervise the students. There is plenty
The students will have motivational posters on the walls by the library to encourage them
to read. Throughout the classroom, there will be different posters related to the content that will
be gone over during the school year. These posters will be placed there to try to keep content
relevant to students. There will also be posters with information that will help students such as
elements of English and Punctuation. By the teacher’s desk, there will be paraphernalia for
different colleges to keep the student’s mind on the future. This will help the students keep their
