Distance Learning – Workshop Essay

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and
learning from failure.” – Colin Powell. There are some things in life that cost more than
others, but these are that guarantee better knowledge. For this, although distance learning
may represent a barrier for some, it is definitely a new and efficient way of studying

Distance learning offers a lot of opportunities for the students. In the first place,
apprentices can work at their own pace, saving time and energy. Indeed, they do not have to
worry about going to a specific place keeping their mind free from anxiety and stress.
Moreover, remote education allows to have a flexible schedule, and therefore permits to have
more time to do other activities. For example, it provides the possibility to work and study at
the same time making easier the adapt of other needs. Finally, the costs generated by online
learning are lower. As an illustration, learners don’t have to spend money in food,
transportation and leisure. To summarize, in our days the implementation of remote teaching
promotes abilities, knowledge and adaptability.

Even though distance education may have some difficulties for apprentices, it also
has several benefits that can facilitate the learning process. Begin with, learners must present
challenges when starting to use essential methodologies for distance learning. Nevertheless,
this type of technique allows concentrating on an assigned subject, acquiring greater
knowledge of what the like the most. Furthermore, in spite of distance teaching presents
possibilities of being distracted during classes, the pupils have greater autonomy over their
educational program, which helps them develop values such as responsibility and discipline.
Additionally, remote education must not facilitate social interactions, but learners can
continue their studies from anywhere that has access to the internet. In conclusion, although
students may present certain challenges when adapting to this remote methodology, distance
education also has multiple advantages such as the ease of focusing on an area and the
development of values.

Summing up, currently, education from a distance is a proficient way to learning,


becoming into a unique teaching. Online courses are an indispensable strategy in teaching,
because it improves the flexibility of students giving them better autonomy and discipline for
themselves and expands academic opportunities for students who balance distance learning
with work and some other needs. People who manage to engage in e-learning strategies can
take advantage of the benefits it offers, being able to focus on the content they want, and
