Lesson Plan in Media Arts

I. Objectives
At the end of the discussion the students are expected to:
a. Name the parts of interface layout of Adobe Photoshop and its
function
b. Show the parts of interface layout of Adobe Photoshop.
c. Give importance of interface layout.

II. Subject Matter


Topic : Adobe Photoshop – Interface Layout

Materials : Computer Set, bond paper and pen

III. Procedure
A. Preparation
1. Prayer and checking of attendance
2. Review
 The Teacher will ask the students about the previous lesson.
3. Motivation
 Show two pictures with the same image, one is edited and
the other is not. Then ask students the difference between
the two pictures.
4. Setting of Objective
 The teacher will present the objectives.

B. Activity
The teacher will give an activity called “Guess Me”. The students
will be group into 2-3. Then give them a picture showing the
interface layout of Adobe Photoshop and let them name the parts
of the layout using the list of name that will show to them. Then
the leader of the group will show their answer in front.
Criteria:
Correct naming (2 pts (5 items)) = 10 pts
Teamwork = 5 pts
Behaviour = 5 pts
20 pts
C. Analysis
The teacher will ask the students regarding to their activity.

D. Abstraction
The teacher will ask the general idea of the lesson and the
importance of interface layout of Adobe Photoshop.
E. Application
Each of the students will show to the teacher the parts of
interface and will give its function.

IV. Evaluation
Direction: Name the following parts of interface layout.

1. You can see this part of interface at the top of the screen containing
all the main functions of Adobe Photoshop.
2. This interface layout help you monitor and modify modes. These
contain layers, history and etc.
3. The part that will appear in its own window once you open a file.
4. These parts will most of the major tools are located.
5-7. Give at least three(3) palettes that you can see in Interface layout.
8. File, edit. Image and window are the functions that you can find in
this interface layout.
9. Alteration, selection, drawing tools are found on this part.
10. You can see this part at the top of the image window contain the
name of the image.

V. Assignment
Study the next lesson “Palettes of Adobe Photoshop”
