Course Summary

The impact of poorly managed risk on construction projects can lead to low client trust and ultimately a lack of
f uture project work. It is imperative for your business that you understand where risk lies on your projects, and
how you can mitigate the effects of it.

Through this online module, you will develop the risk management skills that are expected of a qualified RICS
Quantity Surveyor and by RICS f irms, giving you the confidence that you have the necessary capacity to
perf orm effectively.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, you will be able to:


• Describe risk management principles and key mitigation strategies
• Quantif y risk and the effect of risk on programmes and costs
• Identif y who owns risk in relation to the chosen procurement route on your project and how risk is dealt
