BDCOM NMS Installation
Informations:
BDCOM all models of EPON OLT, GPON OLT, Switch, Router & Wireless can be added
Need an activated Windows Machine (PC) with 64-bit operating system
PC requirements: 16GB RAM (at least 8GB), 1TB Hard drive, 2.50-3.00GHz Processor
NMS comes with a free license key with 30 days validity; after 30 days one need to register
the NMS again using same license key
To avoid illegal license issue, it is suggested to install NMS in a different drive instead of
drive ‘C’
For trap (alarm/notification); NMS installed PC should be ping reachable from OLT/Switch

Installation Procedures:
1. Keep the downloaded files to a new folder of a PC hard drive. Double clicked on the
marked application file then double clicked on setup
2. Select/Change the installation path (e.g: drive ‘E’ => BDCOM NMS) and then click to
Install
3. Wait untill the installation process complete (100%) after then click to finish
7. Click OK and then it will take some time to run all the NMS applications as like below
8. Now open a browser and type localhost:8888 then you can login using default User:
root & Password: public
9. To add OLT/Switch in NMS, need SNMP configuration like SNMP Community name & Trap/
SNMP host IP address in OLT/Switch. Login OLT/Switch from GUI mode configured as like below
Also can be configurable from CLI mode

switch_config#snmp-server host 172.16.0.2 version v2c BDCOM authentication configure snmp

Note: SNMP Host IP address should be the IP address of PC where the NMS server is installed
and the IP should be ping reachable from OLT/Switch
10. Now from NMS; browse to Network Elements=>Discovery Element=> Discovery Node and
make the following changes: OLT/Switch IP address with subnet, Discovery type
EPON/GPON/Switch, Community: as per configured in OLT/Switch then click on Add. After
added click on Discovery; OLT will be discovered successfully after discovery finished; like
below just close it
11. To see the Topology browse Network Elements=>Topo Display=> Click on =>
default=> select IP then click OK
12. Your device is successfully added with NMS. Now you can manage, configure and
monitor the device through NMS. Follow the NMS manual for more use of NMS
