Course Description:
• Accounting Research and Methods (RES 1)
helps you develop your critical thinking and
problem-solving skills through accounting
research writing.
• This course covers the basic methods in
conducting accounting research.

At the end of this course, you are expected to
collaboratively create and defend Research
Proposal with significance in resolving
accounting-related problems and business
issues considering the principles of Accounting
Research and Methods.

Evaluation Criteria: Passing the course requires at least 60%


of the total score of activities and examinations

1. BE HONEST!

2. Come on time. Attendance will be checked every


meeting.

3. Submit all activities before or on the deadline at


the submission bin of your WELA (SILID ARALAN)
Classroom or Facebook Messenger.

4. Take note of the schedule and deadline of activities


as well as consultation hours to get immediate
feedback from the teacher.

5. Practice Netiquette! Secure your password and


personal information. During the virtual classroom
meeting, turn-off your audio to avoid unnecessary
noise. However, you may turn it on when necessary.

• C1: The learning kits are provided for you to be
picked up at the school. In the learning kit you
will find the syllabus, learning guide + modules,
some reading materials, presentations and a few
videos.
• C2-3 The SILID ARALAN will the main online
platform for this course. You can check out this
by logging into your mtim.wela.ph account

2. Submissions
• C1-2-3: You are supposed to pass the modules in
regular periods: Prelim, MidTerm, Semi-Finals
and Finals.
• Submission bins are provided in the SILID
ARALAN classroom. If not possible, you should
send it via email or FB messenger.
• You will also be graded in the online classroom.

3. Platform to engage
– C1-2-3 You must be reachable through your mobile number for
either text messaging and calls . You may use this as platform to
engaged with your peers and teacher.
– C1-2-3 There will be FB group and Messenger GC which will be
made for your access. You can interact with your classmates
there.
– C1-2-3 There are engagement tools in the online classroom and
this will be your main platform for engagement.

4. Feedback
– C1-2-3 Synchronous: There is a consultation schedule in the Teacher
Information. You can consult the teacher real time vis Text, Call or
Chat. You can also do group consultation.
– Asynchronous: If not, The FB group allows you to post discussions
where your peers and teacher can comment anytime.

– C2-3 Synchronous: There is a consultation schedule in the Teacher


information. You can consult the teacher real time via Video
Conferencing tools such as Messenger VC or GoogleMeet. You can also
consult by group.
– Asynchronous: There are forums in the online classroom. You can
post discussions there as well.
