2020 TEACHERS’ DAY VIRTUAL KICK OFF

SCRIPT
Jeric: The entire world is currently hampered with a lethal global pandemic. It has inflicted
unparalleled difficulties to all and the so-called new normal has been established. The new
normal reduced our activities but it did not weaken the steadfast passion and commitment of the
Philippine education front liners- the Filipino teachers.
Cyril: Their dedication and enthusiasm in providing quality basic education remain formidable
amid the many challenges that the pandemic caused. Now, more than ever, the crucial role they
play deserves our utmost appreciation which makes today’s celebration even more relevant.
J: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the 2020 Teachers’ Day Celebration Virtual Kick Off of
Masbate City Division. I am Jeric Cabug.
C: I am Cyril Delavin. Join us as we celebrate with the theme, “Gurong Filipino para sa Batang
Filipino.
J: To start with, we shall have the singing of the Philippine National Anthem to be followed by
an Opening Prayer and the Masbate City Division Hymn.

C: You’re right, Sir Jeric. It proves that indeed teachers are our country’s unsung heroes.
J: At this point, let us listen to the words of a man who gets things done even if he is away.

C: Thank you, Sir Larry. My partner and I would also like to acknowledge those who are one
with us in this celebration- guests, SDO Officials, School Heads from both public and private
schools, our viewers, and honorees.
J: To pay tribute to teachers, let us welcome a pupil from Amancio Aguilar Elementary School,
Miguel Taumatorgo.

of Masbate National Comprehensive High School. Please welcome Jarelle Altarejos Macabe and
