1. According to this article, what are some of the ways entrepreneurship promotes a
nation’s economic health?
Ans. Entrepreneurship helps to create jobs, create more opportunities
for many individuals, producing more products, innovate, and research develop
that yearn for more job and business opportunities in the economy. That
countries with high in entrepreneurial activity had a high growth rates rather than
countries with lower entrepreneurial rates.

2. What evidence does the writer of this article give to prove entrepreneurs make a
positive contribution to a nation’s economy?
Ans. Entrepreneurs creating wealth for many individuals seeking
business opportunities, also by the innovation and research and development
that all of the inventions of entrepreneurs can improve the economy because they
can provide better ways of doing tasks, and can also lead to new business.

3. The reading above does not have conclusion. Provide one by writing a paragraph

Ans. Therefore it clearly stated that entrepreneurship had a big help in the
economic health, not only by providing more job and business opportunities but
also in terms of paying taxes. Because business entities are one of the major
source of economic wealth by means of paying their taxes. Entrepreneurship also
creates product that has essential to everyone.

Ans. For me I would not stop operating the restaurant, her business was in
peak of being success. Having the hard time in relationship with her husband
together in managing her business was normal, because there were just
adjusting.
2. If you were Danielle, what additional information would you need before making a

Ans. If were Danielle, I will think thoroughly, my business is in a stable
condition, its boosting as time went by. Maybe pursuing her plan before her
mother in-law died, branching out restaurant in Romblon was good idea. It
give her more time to be with her husband and more opportunities for her new
restaurant branch in Romblon.

1. What is a small business?


Ans. A small business, defined as independently owned and operated that is
limited in size and in employees. It is also privately owned like corporation,
partnership, or sole proprietorship that has fewer employees. Under the market
share approach, small business maybe defined as one which is independently
owned and operated and which it is not dominant in its field of operation. The
term “independently owned” means ownership is by private individual, a
partnership or corporation. The term “not dominant” indicates that a small
business does not control sizeable share of its market.

2. What are the types of small business?


Ans. The types of the small business are the following:
1. Small Manufacturing Business
2. Small Service Business
3. Wholesaling
4. Retaining
5. General Construction Firms
3. How important are small business to our economy?
Ans. Small businesses contribute to our economy by bringing growth and
innovation to the community in which the business is established. It employs
local worker, providing employment opportunities to people who may not be
employable by larger corporations. They contribute to local government with
means of taxes. They tend to distributes products and services to other
businesses. And they provide economic opportunities to the entrepreneurs
especially for those people who do not feel comfortable as employees have the
option of engaging in small business operation.

4. How will you compare small business operation and employment?


Ans. Small business operation and employment has a big difference in aspects.
As for the small business operation/operator who owns his time, the
independence he got compared to an employee who needs to be at work at
exactly as policy written in their code of conduct. Small business operator has
the privilege in financial gain, compared to an employee who has a salary rate
basis. Except for those who had a profession. The control that small business
has, not exactly the same to mere employee, and the opportunity of the small
business operation/operator creates, lesser to as employee.

What would be your advice to Jennilyn? Does she need to shift to another type of

Ans. For my own advice, I would not shift to another type of business, but I rather
make it more successful. I should maintain my professionalism to my former
boyfriend, I should not be shaken and affected, yes I was hurt but that was
before. What I can do is maybe find another buyer or costumer if I can’t really
stand his presence, never mind that he was a top contractor, I can find better
buyer for my business. I invest this venture, and it was a good shot as a business
especially the location. So, not in shifting to another business I rather to pursue
this and make it successful and big venture in future.

1. Why is corruption an unwanted activity in a country like the Philippines?


Ans. Corruption here in the Philippines was unwanted, it’s because it is unethical
doing. A wrong doing that must not tolerated in any aspects. It has a great impact
to the society especially for those whose miserable people. People’s mind was
being poisoned by the thought of corruption and tend to lose their trust to the
government. Corruption put the taxes of the people into waste, meaning putting
up poor quality of services or infrastructure, and a projects that the government
had that aligned to any possible corruption.

2. What is business ethics? Why is it important?


Ans. Business ethics is how a business should act in the face of ethical dilemmas
and controversial situations. This can include a number of different situations,
including how stocks are traded, how business is governed and what is business’
role in social issues and like. Business ethics are important for different reasons,
first, it keeps the business working within the boundaries of the law, ensuring
that they aren’t committing crimes against their employees. And being ethical
business is also highly appealing to investors and shareholders.

3. What are the factors that influence the ethical behaviour of firms?
Ans. The factors that influence the ethical behaviour of the firms are the

Ans. The Honor they have, a good people are fundamental part of good ethics.
They are also great help for doing the right things, showing gratitude to the
people who exhibit exemplary behaviour, those people who have helped them
and their business to be successful, to acknowledge and honor their
contributions it may publicly or privately.

Ans. If I were the one who consulted Fina I will definitely agree, because there is
nothing wrong with the proposal that the Dean proposed, it was a big help for her
business too. But always bear in mind the having ethical business is must. It
must always observed, it must always the guidelines. In order to have a good and
smooth operation of the business.

1. Is it important to be financially literate to be a good entrepreneur? Why?
Ans. Yes it is important, because having the knowledge in terms in financial
aspects has a great help in managing business. Being financial literate means
you know how to understand some financial statements, know how to budget and
invest the income does the business you have.

2. Is formal education a requirement to become a successful entrepreneur? Why?


Ans. Not at all, because some successful entrepreneurs doesn’t finish and hold
degree, what makes entrepreneurs successful was their hardship, dedication,
perseverance, their passion and love to what they’re doing and the courage to
take risk in any possible way they can. Even you hold degree but you don’t have
the aspects of entrepreneurship it was useless, it doesn’t help to earn you a
profit.

Ans. No, because being Gay doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to enter in
entrepreneurship, it is not a hindrance to. What you need is to have the self-
confidence, the personality, dedication on what you’re doing. In order to have a
successful venture you must know how to manage your business, the passion
you’re putting to it in order to progress and earn a profit. Being lesbian, gay, or
transgender doesn’t affect the success of entrepreneurship.

Ans. It was a rude remark as an owner of the company, whose asking for an
advice to his managers and supervisors. Especially to Mr. Delfin who raised his
hand to give his ideas, but unfortunately Mr. Lagayan doesn’t want to hear out Mr.
Delfin’s ideas.
2. What do you think is the statement of Delfin if ever he was given the chance to talk?

Ans. I will support her ideas, especially it will be a big help to her business, to

Ans. Yes, she had a solid plan for her new venture which is the apparel
manufacturing which will help her boost more his apparel business in boom. She
had head up plans for the business, she make sure that it will not put into waste
the business she want to start up. So definitely Ms. Olay is on the right path.

1. In the previous chapter, you have prepared/listed ten (10) best business
ideas, screened, and selected the best three (3) business ideas. Make a
SWOT analysis for each.

Strength-One strength has its people, whether you’re offering general academic
tutoring to grade school or specialized subject matter. Especially now on this new
normal set up, which the mode of learning are through online classes.
Weaknesses- A poor data connection; a lack of funds to funds the materials

to our customers. We specialize in offering and creating a variety of delicious unique
Filipino Style Pizza. Take-Out Pizza in your Area will offer a better product, at a
reasonable price, and will never deliver not on time. We must deliver it on time to our
customer’s door.

II. Company Overview/Description


Objectives
 To attract regular customer a minimum of 50-100 per day, for pizza take-out and
delivery, in our one in half year operations;
 To offer our customers excellent taste of Filipino Style Pizza, as well services at
affordable prices, and provide outstanding customer experience.
 To generate a good cash flow from the operations, and at least 5-10 percent of
the net profit to sales.

area or location. The average income for the area is raging to P10, 000-50,000 a month,
depends on the job status and family members.
With the continued growth in the area, opportunities to serve the Romblon, Romblon
residents will increase. Our business will sell to individuals, but it will also accept some
occasional orders, like for catering, birthdays or any special events, in the area. We also
focus on satisfying the needs of low-to-middle-class costumers in our area.
IV. Organization and Management
Our management is expected to use resources wisely, operate profitably, and abide by
laws and regulations. Our management philosophy is based on team work,
responsibility, and mutual respect. People who work from us would want to be part of

According to our conservative estimates, Take-Out Pizza in your Area is expected to
maintain a healthy financial position over the next three years. Our entity is expected to
break even in the fourth month of operations.
We also expect to be profitable in the first and a half year of operations, with profits
increasing over the next six years, as we establish and increase our customer base.
Our main concern will be to have sufficient cash on hand to meet our payment debts
and obligations and to be prepared for our unexpected needs of cash. The company’s

Ans. Let us assume a newly open yoga centre. The bakery owner will first search for
(1.) prospects who can afford the yoga fees session and are in need of accessing a
yoga facilities. The (2-3.) pre-approach and approach stages would be when the
owner of the yoga centre would market the brands through, brochures, pamphlets and
flyers. This would entice people to give a call and arrange session to visit the yoga
centre. Here the yoga centre amenities, facilities, instructors and etc would be shown,
which would be a part of the (4.) presentation and demonstration. The queries
