We don't have to go far to the scope of a company, we can easily find communication and
leadership anywhere. Starting from at home, in the school environment, as well as in
community. As a student, I believe that we have all been involved in assignments that require
teamwork. Through group work, we are able to see the role of communication as well as
leadership. From my experience, starting from the first semester, I have found that there is a
positive relationship between communication and the outcome performance of the group.
Good communication between members (which is included in the type of lateral
communication = because we are all from the same level) can facilitate our work. In my
opinion, out of the 5 major functions of communication, what I feel the most when I have to
work with other people is the information exchange. The formation of a group must have the
same goal. If we are able to communicate with members well, here we can find many ideas
from individuals, increase creativity, and also boost productivity. Good communication also
involves arguments, that is, we have the right to provide feedback which help our group
members to grow and learn from mistakes.
