Objectives

 The purpose of the Accreditation of “Tesco Certified Quality Controller” Process is to accredit supplier’s nominated inspectors who have demonstrated their competence in conducting Pre-production
Meeting and ensuring the good quality product produced on behalf of IS Production Technologist/ IS Technical Manager (Production)

 To be eligible for the “Tesco Certified Quality Controller” Award, the candidate must:-

 Attend the Tesco Quality Controller Training Program which comprises the following components:

• Technical Induction on Ways of Working


• Sealing Process & Measuring Guide
• UK & CE Clothing Technical Manual
• Childrenswear safety awareness/ risk assessment
• Product Safety Requirements
• UK & CE, and Asia Packaging Manual
• Legal requirement/ metal contamination
• AQL/ DCL
• Factory Basic compliance
• Testing
• Machine setting, thread & seam

 Pass the assessment conducted by IS Production Technologist/ IS Technical Manager (Production) at factory
 Pass the written examination

Required Inputs

 A supplier’s inspector nominated by the Quality Manager (Supplier). This nominated inspector must have ability to read, speak, write, and understand English & the local languages

 The inspector nominated by the Quality Manager (Supplier) as the candidate for “Tesco Certified Quality Controller” Award needs to have the ability to read, speak, write, and understand English & the

 Pass the assessment conducted by IS Production Technologist/ IS Technical Manager (Production) at factory within 3 months after completing the Tesco Quality Controller Training Program
 Pass the written examination which is marked by the IS Technical Manager (Production)
If the candidate fails the written examination at the first time, he is allowed to sit for the examination one more time only.

 All examination papers are reviewed & marked by the IS Technical Manager (Production)
 The certificates of “Tesco Certified Quality Controller” award are issued by IS Technical Manager (Production)

 IS Technical Manager (Production) is responsible for approving the candidates for “Tesco Certified Quality Controller” award
{IS Category Technical Manager (Production) is accountable for the approval}

 IS Technical Manager (Production) is required to maintain the latest List of Tesco Certified Quality Controller
