Geoportal Philippines Data Sharing Agreement

This document is a data sharing agreement between the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) and an agency. It allows the agency to share geospatial data with NAMRIA to build up their Geoportal Philippines database. NAMRIA will recognize the agency as the source of the data and make it available to the public online. The agency takes responsibility for the quality and accuracy of its data and allows other parties to freely use and share the non-restricted data. Both parties must sign to agree to the terms.

GEOPORTAL PHILIPPINES DATA SHARING AGREEMENT

1. This Agreement is executed and entered into this ____ day of ___________ 20__, by
and between the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority
represented by its Administrator, Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD. herein referred
to as the “NAMRIA” and _______________________ represented by
___________________________, herein referred to as the “AGENCY.”

3. Terms and Conditions:

a. NAMRIA shall recognize and cite the AGENCY as the source of the geospatial
data;
b. NAMRIA shall use the geospatial data shared by the AGENCY for the build-up
of the Geoportal Philippines (www.geoportal.gov.ph) database;
c. The AGENCY shall allow NAMRIA to publish online the AGENCY geospatial
data in Geoportal Philippines and shall make the same data available and
accessible to the general public;
d. The AGENCY shall provide the description of the name(s) of the geospatial data
enumerated above in ANNEX A “Description of Geospatial Data” which forms
part of this agreement;
e. The AGENCY shall be fully responsible for the quality of its geospatial data,
e.g., accuracy, validity, reliability, completeness, machine-readability, and
interoperability;
f. The AGENCY shall authorize NAMRIA to allow other agencies, users and
stakeholders to freely download, reuse and share the AGENCY geospatial data
partly or wholly, in GIS or machine-readable format, unless indicated otherwise
in the DATA RESTRICTION section of ANNEX A; and
g. The AGENCY, through its designated Database Administrator, shall be allowed
to freely download, reuse and share all unrestricted geoportal geospatial data
partly or wholly, in GIS or machine-readable format.
