Minor Project Synopsis

This document describes a minor project to build a spy robot with night vision camera that is controlled remotely via RF and Bluetooth. A group of 7 students will build the robot, which uses an Arduino board, HC-05 Bluetooth module, DC motors, and a wireless night vision camera mounted on the robot. The camera can pan 360 degrees and its video feed will be transmitted to allow remote surveillance. The robot is intended for military and rescue applications to allow remote spying and surveillance in dangerous areas.

INTRODUCTION
The advent of technology has brought a revolutionary change in the
field of robotics and automation which ranges in all the sectors from
household domestic works to the defense sector. Today in the global
market, smart phones also have brought a revolution in changing
people’s lifestyle and providing numerous applications on different
operating systems. Android operating system is one of these systems
build on open source which has made a huge impact providing many
applications for robotics to help people in their day to day life.

The main technology used here for serial communication with the
robot is the bluetooth technology. Bluetooth technology can be used to
share data between two devices considering the range between two
devices. The bluetooth module HC-05 will be connected with the robot
and the commands to the robot will be given through the android
application.

The war field robot consists of arduino uno board as a controller board.
It has L293D motor driver IC’s along with a HC-05 bluetooth module.
Two DC motors are also used for the motion of the robot. The night
vision wireless camera is attached with the robot in order to monitor the
situation and the camera can be rotated 360 degrees via the android
application through motor

PLAN
 User can control the robot by using it automatically.

 We will use a Wireless night vision camera which is connected
by an RF module receiver section.

 The receiver module is connected to a Laptop or a Monitor.

 The video surveillance will be monitored by a person and capture


the image and send through the Mail id.

 The video can be recorded for future purposes.

 Through this robot we can easily spy the remote areas as it can be
used for military purposes and other rescue operations.

OBJECTIVE
The main objective behind developing this robot is for the
surveillance’s of human activities in the war field. It can also make
comfortable for human and it is user friendly. In this paper we are using

wireless camera which is mounted on the robot body for spying
purpose, even in complete darkness by using infrared lighting. At the
transmitting end using buttons, commands, are sent to the receiver to
control the movement of the robot either to move forward, backward
and left or right, up and down etc. At the receiving end two motors are
interfaced to the microcontroller where they are used for the movement
of the vehicle. After receiving the command robot will stop. After that
the robot will move in the same direction in which previously the robot
is moving. At the RF transmitter acts as a RF remote control that has
the advantage of adequate range (up to meters).while the receiver
decodes before feeding it to microcontroller to drive DC motors using
L293D (device driving circuit).

APPLICATION

 Military field.
 Surveillance along border.

 Search and Rescue Operation.
 Shopping mall.

LITERATURE SURVEY
The literature survey includes the architecture of bluetooth module HC-
05 along with L293D motor driver IC

CONCLUSION
In this paper, the model of robot can be described to build a robot using
night vision wireless camera run by android application and the people
can learn about developing android application in order to control the
robot through wireless application. The robot can be made more
enhanced by adding features like gas sensors and bomb defuse kit.
