ASSESSMENT TASK:

ACTIVITY 1.
IDENTIFY DIFFERENT SOCIAL ISSUES, NEEDS, AND DEMANDS THAT SHOULD
BE CONSIDERED IN DEVELOPING CURRICULUM. SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IN
DEVELOPING CURRICULUM.
- The social issue or problems that should be considered in developing curriculum is the
developing or revising a curriculum that faced a number of problems because if the
society is relatively stable, the planner can answer of many crucial questions underlying
the curriculum.
So, beyond creating shared goals between teachers and students, curriculum, also
standardize the learning goals for an entire school and provides a clear path for students
to step forward from one grade to another. In order for curriculum development to be
effective and schools to be successful, teacher must be involved in the development
process. Learning experiences, instructional resources, and assessment that comprises a
specific educational program.

ACTIVITY 2.
DISCUSS HOW THESE INFLUECE THE CURRICULUM IN TERMS OF THE FF:
A. AIMS, GOALS, AND OBJECTIVE
B. CONTENT
C. LEARNING EXPERINCES
D. EVALUATION

A. Curriculum aims and goals relate to educational aims and philosophy. They are
programmatic and normally do not delineate the specific courses or items of content.
Typically, they refer to the accomplishment of groups (all learners, learners in general
and most learners) rather than the achievement of individual learners. They are broad
enough to lead to specific curriculum objectives. Its term of effectiveness, curriculum
objectives should be concise and under standards to teachers, learners, and parents; be
feasible to the teachers and learners to accomplish, encompass previous learning and
require the learners to integrate and then apply certain knowledge, skills, and attitudes in
order to demonstrate achievement, and be measurable on a cumulative basis and at
different stages of the learner’s educational career.

B. Curriculum in terms of context is affected by decision as to how a time at the disposal of

the schools is to be used. Learnings may be broadened, narrowed or cut off completely by
the nature and extent of requirements, as well as by the richness or scarcity of
opportunities given to individuals and groups or choices in their learnings activities. It is
intriguing to see what happens to such arguments if curriculum context is viewed as all
the potential learnings obtained in experiences for which schools assume responsibility,
all the potential learners sought through both general and specialized educators.

C. Any experience a student has in the process of learning is considered a learning

experiences. Learning experiences guide students towards engagement in content and
help them learn new skills. When planning learning experiences, teachers should design
them to gradually more students towards the goals and objectives. The enacted
curriculum interacts with numerous aspect of the educational system, from curriculum
guides, syllabi, textbooks, and teaching-learnings. Thus, the intended curriculum rarely
aligns with the enacted curriculum in k-12 classroom, because the emphasis teachers
place on topics and types of learning experiences, for example, impact student’s
opportunities to learn. there must be a harmony between curriculum as written and
curriculum as practiced for effective learning to occur. The alignment between the
intended and enacted curriculum is necessary for effective learning outcomes to occur.

D. The purpose of curriculum evaluation is to determine whenever or not the newly adopted
curriculum is producing the intended result and meeting the objectives that has set forth,
and it is essential component in the process of adopting and implementing any new
curriculum in any educational setting. Thus, it is necessary and important aspect of any
national education system. It provides the basis for curriculum policy decisions, for
feedback on continuous curriculum adjustment and processes of curriculum
mplementation. The achievement of the goals and aims of educational programs.

ACTIVITY 3:
IDENTIFY LEARNER’S NEEDS AND ISSUES THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IN
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT.
- The needs of learners should be considered their current physical, social, intellectual, and
emotional development, the classroom and school environment, learners need to
considered the special nature of their community and a wider knowledge about the health
status, needs and physical activity patterns.

The learner’s issues that should be considered in curriculum development is the lack of
academic skills in the students. Since of the context of the curriculum suffers a lot by the
students because the context of their books does not match to their educational skills.
Also, there are different strengthens and weaknesses of the individual that might be cause
of not coping up the lesson. Not all student has born intellectual mind, some students
cannot manage the curriculum in the school that may cause of lack of learning of the
student.
ACTIVITY 4:
EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANCE OF CURRICULUM PLANNING
- Curriculum planning learners has been shown to have a significant impact on student
outcomes over time. Teachers can increase their support of students by keeping track of
students’ progress and giving them feedback on how far they have come and what they
can do to get better.
Curriculum planning develop well-coordinated teaching learning and assessment
progress, which build students’ knowledge, skills, and behavior in the disciplines, as well
as their interdisciplinary and/ or physical personal and social capacities.

ACTIVITY 5:
DO THE REFLECTION PAPER USING THE TEMPLATE? Write your insights about
the learning experiences you had in this lesson. What you learned, how you learned it, what
are the difficulties you encountered in understanding this lesson and how you cope with it.

In this activities which is about curriculum planning, I learned a lot because it will help
me in my future career as a teacher. This will guide me how to plan, implement and evaluate our
learners and how we manage the curriculum according to identifying the students learning style.
Also, as future teacher it is very important to recognize the needs and issues of the
students/peoples in coping up the curriculum. I imagining my future that lesson plan must be
always prepared in order to guide me in teaching and to promote my teaching skills. But it was
difficult for me on how those aims and goals influence the curriculum. so I do research and read
more articles so I understand it well. Well reading can teach you a lot. I’m so very thankful that I
understood this activity.
ACTIVITY 1
Look for a teacher whom you know personally
Ask him/her to answer the following:

A. WHAT ARE THE TEACHING PLANS THAT YOU DO EVERYDAY? GIVE

ATLEAST THREE.
B. DO YOU IMPLEMENT THESE PLANS? HOW? IF NOT, WHY?
C. IF YOU IMPLEMENT THESE PLANS, HOW DO YOU EVALUATE THESE?

Submit a report on this interview in a Paragraph form.

According to Ms. Alaminah D. Batugan which is my Auntie, her teaching plans

every day in school is to advance study the lesson, making new techniques in teaching to
deliver the lecture very well and understandable, and organizing the sequence of the
activities in an enough time. She also added that the first thing she do before the class start
is to give an energizing activities like 3 steps exercise in order to level up the energy of the
students and then they will focus on the lesson.

She implements her plans by practicing and studying the lesson she will teach and
this will help her to be more effective as a teacher. Her conception is having a teaching plan
serves you as a guide to avoid changing of what you do in class and it also save your time
because your teaching plan in that day is well arranged. After she plans, and implement
her teaching plan, she evaluates herself by the feedback of her students, through her
observation, and the result of her activities if they absorb the lesson. She will estimate
herself if her teaching plan is effective. But if not, she makes another teaching plan until
she will succeed according to her.

ACTIVITY 2
Reflect on the information given by the teacher you interviewed and answer the question below
in essay form.

IS THE TEACHERS LIFE A SERIES OF PLANNING, IMPLEMENTING AND

EVALUATING? WILL THIS IMPROVE TEACHING? WHY?
- Yes, in teacher’s life, series of planning, implementing and evaluating will ultimately
improve teaching because a teacher without plans has nothing to implement and evaluate.
As a teacher you have always a plans for your pupils/students even in life which serves as
your goal and after planning, you have to implement what you have plan and after
implement then evaluate if you have succeeded or not, and if you failed then study what
is wrong in the implementation and the right there. You learn what is the problems you
have met and provide new a solution to be able to succeed and that is improvement in
teaching.
