AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed After EVERY Lesson Taught)

The lesson was about repeated addition with arrays for grades 2-5 and addressed related standards. It took place online in a Microsoft Teams math classroom for 24 boys and girls. The teacher aimed to engage students through a balloon activity and online quiz while managing time well. Students listened to rules, answered prior knowledge questions, learned about arrays, rows and columns through pictures and a video, solved practice problems by writing in the chat, and did an exit ticket writing number sentences. While some students answered correctly, engagement could be improved by letting students interact more to explain concepts to each other. Going forward, the teacher will look for ways to enhance interactivity, such as using Padlet, and take notes to remember strategies.
