Describe (D):
The lesson for Grade and 2-5 and 2-6 for 24 boys and girls.
Where did the lesson take place?
It was in It was in the Microsoft teems online Math classroom. The lesson was about repeated
addition with arrays. Besides, at the beginning of the lesson, I told them the class rules using
pictures to make sure they understand and should to follow the rules. Then I start the lesson by
presented prior knowledge question and present for them pictures and I explain for them how to
solve about repeated addition with arrays.
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
I am working on: Planning for learning and managing learning to have time management during
the lesson. Also, engage the students using balloon activity and online quiz.
at the beginning of the lesson, they will listen to the rules to make sure they have their materials
such as pencil and book and I tell them the class rules. Then I start the lesson by asked them prior
knowledge questions such as, what you learned yesterday to develop students' critical thinking.
Then I told them today we will learn about Repeated addition with array. And I explain for them
what means array, rows and columns using group of pictures. Also, I explained to them what a
repeated addition with array using the pictures and I shoed for them how to write numbers
sentences. Then I showed them video and in each parts I explain for them, After that, its students
turned they solved the questions and I gave them time to write the answers in the chat and I
checked their works. Moreover, I provide for them a quiz and students wrote the answers in the
chat and I checked they're answered.
Finally, I provide them exit ticket, students bring small paper to write the number sentences with
answers and they took a photo and they send it back to me.
Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
I feel students respond the lesson because they were enjoyable and when they played they play
balloon game. And I believe all students felt like they could write repeated addition number
sentences with arrays.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
In grade one, the students learned about addition. I connected the lesson by ballon game using
repeated addition.
The students were engaged when they see the video. Also the students are interesting and focused
when they did balloon game. In future, I will engage the learners by letting them play online
game. Also, I let them to show me in the camera their works.
Appraise (A):
I try to achieve my goal which is planning for learning and I provide for them pictures in the
power point to see and tell us to count and tell us the answers in the chat. And I achieve my goal
because only 10% of students are answers correctly. Also, I made balloon activities and I give
students time to think and write the answers in the chat. I found that the activities were
appropriate for each level because I make a search to know new ideas of activities and My MST
helped me by giving me what I need to make a repeated addition question.
Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
For my future practice, I will look for opportunities to let students tell each others the repeated
addition number sentences to turn the camera and microphone on to show us.
In my next lesson, I will write notes and keep it with me to not forget something such as, I will
look for opportunities to let students be interactive with each other and see other students
works by using Padlet.
