MY MAP:

With the help of online observation for a classroom I was able to collect and collate the facilities
and support learning environment of a school. Each classroom are equipped with a blackboard,
ceiling fans(for convenience) and monitor which is one of the tool for faster and efficient
teaching-learning. The school also has a library with a complete sets of books student’s needed
They are also provided with an internet connection around the vicinity of the school, with the
speed of 3MBPS.

REFELECTION:

In what I gathered I therefore conclude that the school’s potential for learning are high. Students
are able to learn in a friendly environment with nothing to worry about where can they pick
learnings. Also teachers could teach effectively with the help of different hardwares. A well
ventilated classrooms also helps for convenient learning environment. An internet connection
that could help students a lot when there are references that students are out of league. They
can only browse sites for educational purposes only, for them to not be distracted and protected
from a malicious softwares.

IDEA OF A GOOD SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

A good school adapts quickly to social change. More concerned with cultural practices than pedagogical
practices–students and families than other schools or the educational status. Decenters itself–makes
technology, curriculum, policies, and its other ‘pieces’ less visible than students and hope and growth.

AN OBSERVATION GUIDE FOR CLASSROOM VISIT

1 The school is founded along with a supermarkets, bookstores, some households, near the national highways
and a hospital with a 5 kilometers away.

2 The colors are all white aside from the roofs which are red. The schools building is quite a bit old. Speaking of
the architectural aspects, it can hold earthquakes as per my research.

3. The offices are tagged with signs not to be so loud when passing by. There is also the head of the school
present inside the office at that time. Some teachers are reporting to the office.

4 As I walk at the hallways, I observe different signage which are usually present in every school. The schools
cafeteria are clean neat. I cannot see a single junk foods that are being sold maybe because the schools
premises doesn’t allow it.

AN OBSERVATION GUIDE FOR CLASSROOM VISIT II

1 I entered the classroom of a science class it has a periodical table on the wall, I also observe some famous
photos of scientist along with the rules and regulations of school.

2 The teachers table are located at the back of students desks. Facing the front of the blackboard.
There is also a shelves for some books and laboratory apparatus.

3 At the front I can see monitors projectors and books for references.

4 As what I gathered the classrooms are occupied with 45 students each class.

5 There is 2 flourescent lights and 4 ceiling fans.

MY REFLECTION AND INSIGHTS


1 There is a huge impact of what a school and teachers are, they play big roles on contributing knowledges and
learning they must be well prepared.

2 It relates me when I am also at that stage. That the classrooms sets are needed to be prepared in every way
possible for it to be appropriate for learners.

1 Yes, because it has a potential but it is all up to me on how can I be an effective teachers to students.

MY PERSONAL ILLUSTRATION OF EFFECTIVE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT


A school environment is a crucial component of student’s life. Schools should provide students with a safe
environment in which to nurture and grow emotionally, behaviourally and academically; and at the same developing
relationships with others. Each and every student requires structure, respect, stability, limitation and boundaries and
safe environment or an environment. In the school environment, there are things that positively influence students’
performance. Such things include having good friends within the school, perceiving that teachers are caring and
supportive, believing that discipline is efficient and fair, participating in extracurricular activities, being a part of a
school and having a sense of belonging. Students become incorporated in their environment when they perceive that
the adults in the school mind about them as individuals and their learning.
