recorded 19.67% growth rate and steel wires recorded 11.11% growth rate.India’s steel production is likely to surpass the
domestic requirement by 2011-2012, easing pressure on price of the alloy. Other allied steel products are HR coils, CR coils,
and HDG coil.etc. End users sector like auto, consumer durables, construction and electricity have all shown steady growth in
recent years and Indian steel import figure further provides evidence of strong domestic demand.

Friction Dust From Cashew Shell Liquid

Friction materials like brake linings clutch facing and transformer band are bonded largely with
phenolic resins. Automotive applications are the largest outlet for friction elements. Though
many other vehicles and machines depend on such composites, including aircraft, train, drilling
rigs etc. Two important recent developments have occurred in automotive-brake element;
conversion of drum brakes to disc brakes and the development of non asbestos composites.
Both developments require that the binder resins exhibit higher temperature performance
without deleteriously affecting the coefficient of friction coefficient stability over a broad
temperature range, were of the composite and improved adhesion to the semi metallic additive
which replace asbestos. The phenolic resins generally is employed at 10-20% of the composite
mix. Other ingredients include filter at 20-30% friction granules or friction dust i.e. a cross
linked particles based on alkenyl phenol extracted from cashewnut shell and asbestos or semi
metallic fibers at 40-60% weight of % etc. The commercial shell oil obtained by the roasting of
cashew nuts is a dark brown viscous oil easily soluble most of the organic solvents. The shell oil
is also distilled and polymerization products of the distillate or mixture of distilled with other
materials have found their may into the composition of diverse products including oil and acid
proof cold setting cements, industrial flooring tiles and automobile brake linings the chief
constituents of the oil in the shells anacardic acid and cardol. India is the largest producers of
raw cashewnut in the world and acquainted for 45 percent of total world production. The

toughened glass is generally used to describe fully tempered glass but is sometimes used to
describe heat strengthened glass as both types undergo a thermal 'toughening' process. There are
two main types of heat treated glass, heat strengthened and fully tempered. Heat strengthened
glass is twice as strong as annealed glass while fully tempered glass is typically four to six times
the strength of annealed glass and withstands heating in microwave ovens. The difference is the
residual stress in the edge and glass surface. Fully tempered glass in the US is generally above
65 MPa while Heat Strengthened glass is between 40 and 55 MPa. It is important to note that
while the strength of the glass does not change the deflection, being stronger means that it can
deflect more before breaking. Annealed glass deflects less than tempered glass under the same
load, all else being equal.
