Test Procedures

<br>- Open Administration module, create a new Batch Class named


"ValidationTest_Editable"
<br>- Create a new field type named "String", data type:
VARCHAR, no of characters: 255
<br>- Create a new field type named "Number", data type: Numeric,
Numeric digits: 15, Decimal place:0
<br>- Open Queue tab, add Scan and Validation queue
<br>- Open the Properties dialog of Validation queue, check the
option "Allow batch editing". Leave other settings as default and click
OK to create batch
<br>- Create a new document class named "ValidationTest_Editable"
<br>- Create a new index field named "Index1", field type: String,
required: True, default value: "DefaultValue". Leave other settings as
default
<br>- Create a new index field named "Index2", field type: Number,
required: False. Leave other settings as default
<br>- Create a new form type named "ValidationTest_Editable"
for the document class
<br>- Create a new folder class named "ValidationTest_Editable" for
the batch class
<br>- Publish the batch class
<br>- Open Administration module, create a new Batch Class named
"ValidationTest_Uneditable"
<br>- Open Queue tab, add Scan, Recognition and Validation queue
<br>- Open the Properties dialog of Validation queue, uncheck the
option "Allow batch editing". Leave other settings as default and click
OK to create batch
<br>- Create a new document class named
"ValidationTest_Uneditable"
<br>- Create a new index field named "Index1", field type: String,
required: True. Leave other settings as default
<br>- Create a new index field named "Index2", field type: Number,
required: False. Leave other settings as default
<br>- Create a new form type named "ValidationTest_Uneditable"
for the document class
<br>- Add the sample page

<br>- Keep only the second page and remove all other pages
<br>- Create an index zone which cover the word Kofax in the top left
corner, select associated field as Index1, enable Auto recognition
with High Performance OCR Zonal profile
<br>- Create a new folder class named "ValidationTest_Uneditable"
for the batch class
<br>- Publish the batch class

<br>- Create a batch name "BatchUneditable" with the batch class


ValidationTest_Uneditable. Import some images but do not create
documents and then process it in Validation module

<br>- Create a batch named "BatchEditable" with the batch class


ValidationTest_Editable. Import some images but do not create
documents and then process it in Validation module

<br>- Process the batch "BatchEditable" in Validation module, make


sure it does not contain any loose page (all pages are documented)

<br>- Create some documents for the batch BatchEditable and


process it in Validation module

<br>- Process the batch BatchUneditable in Scan, import the


following image: Data\Recognition\Various\Images\Multipage.tif and
go to Recognition Server module
<br>- After recognition, process it in Validation module

<br>- Process the batch BatchEditable in Validation module


<br>- Create some document for the batch BatchEditable and
process it in Validation module
<br>- Clear the default value of Index field Index1 and press tab to go
to next field

<br>- Process the batch BatchEdit able in Validation module


<br>- Use the default value for Index1 index field or enter a valid
value

<br>- Clear the value of the index field Index1 and select
Document/Save Document

<br>- Clear the value of the index field Index1 and select
Document/Save Document

<br>- Enter valid values into all index fields of a document and select
Document/Save Document

<br>- Edit the document index fields, do not save the document and
click a navigation button to navigate to another document

<br>- Edit the document index fields, save the document and click a
navigation button to navigate to another document

<br>- Process the documents to the last index field of the last
document
<br>- After the last index field has been process, choose Save
Document, click Yes to confirm

<br>- Open the batch BatchEditable in Validation module, select the


Validation Mode as "Batch Editing"

<br>- Select Suspend Batch, click Yes to confirm.

<br>- Edit some index fields value without saving and click Close

<br>- Make sure that there are loose pages or rejected pages in the
batch
<br>- Click Close Batch button

<br>- Make sure that there are no loose pages or rejected pages in
the batch and all index fields has been validated

Verify that the an error message is displayed "Sending the


batch to Quality Control due to the following error: Loose
pages are not allowed in the Validation or Verification queue".
Click OK, Validation module is closed, batch status is set to
Error and next queue is QC

Verify that no error message is displayed and the batch is


ready for validation process

Verify that the index fields of the first document is displayed

Verify that the default value "DefaultValue" of document index


fields "Index1" are auto-filled into document index fields
textboxes

Verify that the index field Index1 is auto-filled with the


recognized word "Kofax"

Verify that the index fields "Index2" textboxes is empty


Verify that we cannot move to another index field until we
enter a valid value and the error message displayed in status
bar is "Field: Index1 - Required field must have a value"

Verify that we can move to another index field

Verify that an error message is displayed "Invalid data entered


for the document. Discard data?" Select Yes, verify that the
changes in index field value is discarded

Verify that an error message is displayed "Invalid data entered


for the document. Discard data?" Select No, verify that the
mouse is focused back on the index field with invalid value for
editing

Verify that the index field values are saved and the index fields
of the next document are displayed

Verify that a dialog box is displayed asking to Save the


document or not.

Verify that the index fields of the next document are displayed

Verify that after the document has been saved, a message box
display "All document has been processed. Close batch?"
<br>- Click Yes, the document will be closed.

Verify that we can edit the batch and its element:


Close/Suspend/Delete Batch, Create/Split/Combine
Document, Change Form Type, Create Folder,
Reject/Unreject/Cut/Paste/Delete/Rotate&Save Documents
and Pages

Verify that Validation module is closed and the batch status in


Batch Manager module is Suspended

Verify that a message box displays ask for saving data.

Verify that the an error message is displayed "Sending the


batch to Quality Control due to the following error: Loose
pages are not allowed in the Validation or Verification queue".
Click OK, Validation module is closed, batch status is set to
Error and next queue is QC

Verify that Validation module is closed and the batch is


returned to Batch Manager module and ready for the next
queue.
