Scope and Sequence

Students study Seamus Heaney's poetry collection Opened Ground: Poems 1966-1996 over two terms to develop their understanding of worlds of upheaval. In term 2, they analyze connections between Heaney's work and at least one other text of their choice to examine how these texts represent complexity in human lives.
