CLOs Description PLOs Level
CLO1 to Analyze Non-Uniform Flow Profiles in Open Channels using concepts of PLO02 High
state of flow (critical, subcritical, super critical), including special cases of
Hydraulic Jumps on Horizontal Surface, Flow over Humps, through
constriction.
CLO2 to Analyze the unsteady flow problems, specifically emptying / filling of PLO02 Medium
reservoirs, and Water Hammer phenomenon in closed conduits.
CLO3 to Assess the performance of hydraulic structures through scaled physical PLO03 High
models using similitude concepts.
CLO4 to Describe types of dams, reservoirs, their selection, site characteristics, PLO02 High
concepts of reservoir capacities, hydropower capacities, types of
hydropower plants and can compute the dam’s external Stability.
CLO5 to compute the sediment transport capacity in a channel and life of PLO02 Medium
reservoirs
