The effects produce when the two magnetic fields interact is demonstrate in the setup shown in

figure [R(i)] and [R(ii)] A thick piece of wire W carrying a current is thrown or catapulted out of
the magnetic field of the magnadur magnets

Experiment : A smooth thick wire is free to roll along two smooth conducting rails. If its placed
between N – S of a U Shaped magnet.

When the current is switched on:
