Third Conditional: If Had Verb Participle

This document provides instruction on forming the third conditional and examples of its use. The third conditional expresses hypothetical situations that are impossible because they refer to the past. It uses the structure "if + past perfect, would have + past participle." Several examples are given using this structure to complete sentences about hypothetical past events. There are also exercises matching conditional clauses, rewriting sentences as hypothetical situations, and completing additional third conditional statements.
