get her blood sugars down.

3. What is her IBW? What is her %IBW?

IBW = 160 - 152.4 = 7.6
7.6 x 0.9 = 6.8
45 + 6.8 = 51.8
IBW = 51.8 Kg

86 \ 51.8 = 1.66 x 100 = 166%

%IBW = %166

4. Calculate and assess her BMI.

BMI = 86 \ 1.6² = 33.5 obese

5. Calculate her REE needs using the Mifflin Equation. What Activity Factor would you
use?

10(W) + 6.25(Ht) – 5(Age) – 161

10 (86) + 6.25 (160) - 5(49) - 161= 1454
average activity 1.75 , 1454 x 1.75 = 2544 kcal
2544-100 = 2444 kcal (to reduce weight)
