    Note: Memorize the Ahadeeth of Prophet Dawood (A.S) translation
    by heart. Page # B 13, 15,& 16
    1. Trace the ancestry of Prophet Dawood A.S
    Prophet Dawood A.S’s ancestry goes back to Yaqu’b, the son of Ishaq, the
    son of Ibrahim. (May Allah’s peace be upon them all)
    2. How did Dawood become a hero?
    Ans: Once an army of fierce fighters came to attack his people. Among them
    was Jaloot. He was a huge man. He came out with his sword and armor and
    called on any of the soldiers of Bani Israel to come and fight him. When he
    saw that nobody would fight him he laughed at Bani Israel. It was young
    Dawood A.S who stepped forward and accepted Jaloot’s challenge for a
    combat.
    Dawood A.S was offered armor and arms but he declined to use them as he
    had not tried them, while the shepherd’s sling and staff were his well-tried
    weapons. Dawood A.S picked up a few stones on the spot. Jaloot came
    forward to kill Dawood A.S with his sword but Dawood A.S used his sling and
    threw a stone which hit Jaloot on his forehead. He fell to the ground and
    before he could recover, Dawood A.S took Jaloot’s sword and killed him.
    3. What lesson did you learn from Dawood A.S when he challenged Jaloot?
    Ans: Numbers do not count but Faith does. Help comes from Allah from
    unexpected quarters.
    * Size and strength are of no avail against truth, courage and careful
    planning.
    * A brave believer in Islam tries his own weapons.
    * If Allah is with us the enemy’s weapons may become an instrument of his
    own destruction.
    * Pure Faith brings Allah’s reward, in Dawood A.S’s case it was power,
    wisdom and other gifts.
    4. Which Book was revealed to Dawood A.S by Allah?
    Zaboor was the Book that was revealed to Dawood A.S by Allah.
    5. How was Dawood A.S’s relation with God?Support your answer with a
    Hadeeth.
    Ans: Prophet Dawood A.S was a true role model worshipper of God. He
    used to spend most of his time praying and doing pious deeds. The
    Prophet Muhammad (P) said that Allah loves the way of worship of
    Prophet Dawood A.S.
    Memorize and write Hadeeth translation of Page B 16 in answer.

    6. What are the basic principles of justice when judging between two
    conflicting individual and parties?
    Ans: 1. Always try to be fair.
    2. Avoid rushing to judgment for people or against others.
    3. Always listen to both sides of an argument or a conflict to reach a
    fair judgment.
    7. Define an “Israelite tale” and give an example of these tales concerning
    Prophet Dawood A.S.
    Ans: Israelite tale claims that Prophet Dawood A.S liked a wife of one of his
    generals. So he wanted to have that lady as his wife. For this purpose he
    sent the general in a dangerous post, and later on he married his general’s
    wife. The Quran and Prophet Muhammad (P) never mentioned this false
    tale. False Israelite tales are examples of the changes that were injected into
    previous scriptures.
    8 . Where did the Prophet Dawood A.S die and at what age?
    Ans: Prophet Dawood A.S died at the age of 100 years in Al-Quds,or
    Jerusalem.
    9. Detail Allah’s blessings on Dawud 
    Ans:
    * Allah made Dawood A.S His Prophet, gave him kingship, wisdom and
    sound judgment.
    * Allah made Dawood A.S strong in his Kingdom.
    * Allah subjected to his the mountains and the birds.
    * Allah softened iron for Dawood A.S.
    * Allah gave him a son called Sulayman who later became a Prophet
