    The Knights of Takhisis.

    Some years after the war of the lance the son of the would-be emperor was released from his
    confinement by the knights of Solamnia. It was deemed that he had redeemed himself from his father’s
    teachings and had turned away from his dark queen’s influence. What had really happened was he had
    been learning all he could from their teachers and hiding his true ambitions.

    Ariakan son of Ariakas soon met an incarnation of the dark queen in a small cave on the outskirts of
    Taman Busk. Where he outlined all of her failures during the war. The meeting nearly ended him as no
    one tells her that she made mistakes let alone lists them like some kind of lawyer. Eventually after some
    hours of torment his continued persistence broke through Takhisis’ lust for revenge and forced her to
    listen.

    The war was not lost because the forces of good outnumbered hers. Quite the contrary. They lost
    because they were not disciplined at all and the generals did not back each other they fought against
    each other as often as not. Every one of the high lords had plans to seize the crown of glory for
    themselves. And even if they made alliances they had plans to break them at their first opportunity.

    His proposal was a Knighthood dedicated to her greatness as the Solamnics were dedicated to Paladine.
    He demanded that the first crop be trained solely by him using perverted versions of the Solamnic code.
    He also altered the nature of how the training took place and how the knights would gain rank within
    the orders.

    The base rank where all Knights of Takhisis start out is called the Lily. Short for the death lily that grows
    upon graves in the region of Ansalon called Nightlund. The next rank is that of the Skull; which much like
    the order of the Sword have clerical powers. The final order is the order of the Thorn; Thorn knights are
    magi who are not tied to the moons of Krynn. Unlike the Knights of Solamnia one does not need to be a
    member of the Skull to petition to become a Thorn knight.

    Knights of the Lily are required to adhere to the blood oath from the moment they are accepted into the
    order. The blood oath is a blood ritual that each takes after a night of fasting and prayer to the dark
    queen. If they are accepted they are given a vision of their future path. It can be as mundane as showing
    their eventual rise within the ranks or as specific as the exact nature of their death at an enemy’s hands.
    It is each knight’s duty to both adhere to this vision but to improve upon it with their actions. Of course
    planning a different strategy for fighting their death often comes into play.

    Once a Knight of the Lily becomes seasoned; they may petition to advance into the ranks of the other
    two orders. Getting into either is rather difficult as one must have the patience to become a spell caster.
    Simply being a good warrior is not good enough to advance.

    Knights of the skull gain the champion edge against good characters and gain 15 spell points and three
    spells. They are not restricted in any way regarding casting with weapons in hand or what weapons they
    can use.

    Knights of the Thorn gain 15 spell points and three spells. They do however lose the ability to wear
    metal armors. The Thorn knights have a special set of ‘armored’ robes that have been designed that
    have the same AC as leather.
